Special thanks for Aspyr for the free copy of the game! Aspyr has brought over the Star Wars classic to the PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch. It's basically an HD port, but looks way better than it did more than 16 years ago. It's still a ton of fun to play, even if a bit dated (controls still a bit janky by modern standards especially). Maybe one day we'll finally get a sequel to this amazing game. We hope you enjoy!
@@jbellrick No it wouldn't, none of Delta squad would've been alive at that point, and Disney seems to have been focusing more on the timeline around the OT after the backlash from the sequels.
They planned 2 games from the beginning. The part 2 was during the Order 66 Time and we were supposed to hunt down the Jedi. But Lucas Arts shut down the project.
The Clone Wars era was so expansive. Several games, including a sequel to Republic Commando should be a thing. The possiblities for FPS games, space combat simulations, and RTS games are quite vast. Hopefully, someone takes the initiative...
This is the game that they need to follow up on. Such a great feel. I just hope if they ever do make a new Republic Commando they keep it to a similar feel. Gritty, badass, tactical and unique engagements.
@droppeddogsthe jedi led thousands of commandos to their deaths, failing to realize they were meant to operate behind enemy lines and not as cannon fodder on the front lines. i think over 50 percent of commandos died because of this
I absolutely love that Carth Onasi's voice actor also voices Scorch. They should make a sequel where Orson Krennic sends Death Squad to kill the rogue Delta Squad.
18 years and we still don't know what happened to Sev on Kashyyk. Only one we have any idea about is Scorch who was either heavily indoctrinated into the Empire or was experimented upon to force him to serve them.
I still have some videos trying to save Sev again and again, later i found that he still alive in the turret if you run faster to his position. So, he probably was wounded fighting some Geonosians and later the Delta Squad found him, that's why he appears in Clone Wars.
So this entire game should be canon again? Which I hope Star Wars company themselves realize that we enjoyed this game again and should bring back some classics to us. Like Star Wars battlefront renegade squadron, elite squadron, force unleashed.
So, Seeing as i played (and still have my copy) this on the Xbox, or 360, I will let everyone who watches this and decides they want to try it, with a few pearls of Information. 1. Ammo is scarce. At first, they give you plenty, but you will find that by the time you get to the Anti-Air Turret, you will be running dry frequently. So save your ammo for the Bigger guys and use the pistol on basic Battle droids and Peons. It has Unlimited ammo. 2. Your Melee is one of your more powerful attacks, Use it when possible. 3. Your squad mates have Unlimited ammo. Keep them alive. 4. When you tell your squad to take a position, You also tell them what weapon you want them to use. They will not turn around and Defend themselves so you have to keep an eye on their backs.
I know it's not canon, but having this game release in 2021, the era of Star Wars canon, makes me to think that Republic Commando and its event are now canon.
@@jeffhughes4058 What I'm actually talk about is the game itself and the events like Sun Fac assassination and The Prosecutor Mission. And I know Delta Squad is canon.

In the sequel Sev was with the rebellion and the Clone Commandos were with the empire. As i said the script no longer exist. So this games hopes for a sequel will unfortunately be lost

No freaking fair man I had this game for PC now the got on PS5 and I got rid that game since my computer died only got to level two when my computer broke down!!!
If you want to get deep into the lore, they're probably very costly to make compared to basic CT units. They each got one on one training from Jango so there probably wasn't a whole lot of them. If you want a marketing answer, it makes it cooler if they're special and have badass mando music playing in the background when they blow shit up.
Same reason why Army unit isn't a Ranger. Price, Time, and Skill Cap. Now I understand, they are clones, but if you want a army and you need to keep the Replacements flowing, You will minimize the Training to what they need to incorporate themselves into the unit they are reinforcing. Especially seeing as they are going up against a Army that is reinforced much quicker than yours is.
I've seen quite a few gameplays like this and none of them been efficient with the "team" mechanic. Heal the squad members, don't jump into the shooting like crazy, scan the combat area and position your men along the shielded positions. Some positions even have torrets and small advantages to deal with bigger enemies easily or dispatch smaller enemies with minimum damage to the team. Bacta tanks are EVERYWHERE so needing to revive team members on the first few levels is ridiculous. This game is a jewel wasted in the hands of thrigger happy noobs that missuse the tactical part of it.

One of the most underrated games of all time! A imperial commando would’ve been so badass!
Unfortunately, now a days, with Disney in charge, it would be First Order Commando. That would be OK if we actually say the first order be Competent.
@@jbellrick No it wouldn't, none of Delta squad would've been alive at that point, and Disney seems to have been focusing more on the timeline around the OT after the backlash from the sequels.
We been waiting 16 years for a sequel, and we still haven’t got it.

It's never gonna happen. It's just as likely as Battlefront 3, Kotor 3, or Force Unleashed 3 lol.
A remaster would be nice, with some additional features and maybe some storylines from Omega Squad of the Republic Commando novels.
@@Darth_Xionn there is a rumors that Aspyr working on the remastered KOTOR and should release it by the end of this year
@@SisterofBattle Nah. That's been a rumor for years. It'll never happen, they'd get wrecked by Disney anyway.

IIRC there was going to be a sequel called Imperial Commando, but it was cancelled.
God damn, I love this game so much. Waited so long for a sequel, now hoping for a remaster, if anything at all.
This is the game that they need to follow up on. Such a great feel. I just hope if they ever do make a new Republic Commando they keep it to a similar feel. Gritty, badass, tactical and unique engagements.
The biggest liability to the clones in the first battle of geonosis were the Jedi, and that infuriates me to no end.

There’s a chance Sev survive the ambush and was captured by the Separatist Forces.
Originally for the sequel, he was supposed to end up being a founder in the Rebel alliance. Even getting a new team to undertake Rebel operations.
In the Books from Karen Traviss they are rescured him.
I think he and the rest of Delta had a brief scene in the Clone Wars tv series.
Best Star Wars video game ever.
I just hated that the game felt so short! I wish I could have been on more missions with the team or different worlds would have been amazing!

I’d imagine being karate-chopped by an SBD feels like getting bashed over the head with a fifty pound dumbbell.
Hearing the voices of Kaiden / Carth and Grunt gives me old skool Bioware vibes
Man they really made those geonosiqns as creepy as possible, huh?

Back in the day without stupid Inhibitor Chips. 💖
And when the Clones are raised up with the Mandalorian culture.
I wonder if Delta Squad gets their Inhibitor Chip removed before Order 66.
The inibitor chips make so much more sense... But hey don;t let your bad opinion blind you to that.
@@Whoami691 Now Scorch is dead because of your amazing Chips.
Glory to Filoni :)
@@BansheeNT-D boohoo. Better than the clones willingly gunning down the generals they had bonded with fur years but hey ho! Cry more.
Those Super Battledoids give me PTSD :P

Your so awesome for this one!
There should be a sequel to this game with the bad batch.
Delta Squad + The Bad Batch? Interesting!
It could always happen

the problem with games about a clone trooper squad is that it has to have the same kiwi doing the voices for every damn character 😆

It’s kinda funny cuz each clone sounds kinda different in the game
Funny how the Republic's anit-slave laws ended when Palpauten turned it into the Galactic Empire
The WHOLE Clone Wars was orchestrated by Palpatine the whole time.
