@@thesaskshaver Very nice shave, a true inspiration to try to do better with my straight razor shave technique. Thanks for tips & tricks. Looks like your work on the stones paid off!
Great shave bud, good to see ya doing videos again , that Trafalgar T3 is a great brush , been really enjoying mine , great face latherer, have yourself a great week
alot of fellas on the east coast pair Jazz Club with this set. my set is on its way so I can not speak of that pairing myself....yet. great shave, happy to see you back in the saddle
A really great shave Lyle, and some awesome tips, it’s brilliant to see you back shaving on camera. 😌👍 I have a Japanese Frameback razor and I love it, but it’s not as quite as cool as having a W&B version. I totally agree about the long strokes, you have to have some time with a blade in your hand behind you before you start doing them as the required control isn’t there at the start, and your also more likely to not get the blade set up quite right at the start of the stroke. I started doing them as I started with shavettes and realised I needed to get the razor gliding. I always think with stretching that it’s a matter of combining the different stretching techniques to get the best flat surface, and you demonstrated that beautifully. 😌👏 Have a great weekend mate, and my very best wishes to you and your family!!
Thanks Dave!! I need to add a Japanese Razor to my collection, any would be great. But a Frameback would be cool. Definitely lots of technique to learn with a Straight, one of the biggest IMO is the confidence in using one. Makes the Shave so much easier. Take care and I need to catch up on your videos😁.
Curley!! Welcome back bro, it’s been a minute. Really great to see you doing a new video Lyle, and a great shave to boot!!! I have a sample of that one I can’t wait to try out. Have a great week my brother!!
You're welcome Seff. I'll try to think of some more tips, especially around the jaw line as that's typically one of the hardest areas with a Straight Razor. Thanks for watching.
i have used rockwell & timeless (.68 plate) both the razors but against the grain specially on my upper lips it feels a bit aggressive & dosen't feel smooth. plz suggest some smooth razors for me
Hey Banocka! Yeah your seeing it right, 5 months. It's definitely been a while. Life's been insane for me and I haven't had the motivation to make videos this year. Always great seeing you popping by the Canadian Mafia Show
Thanks for subscribing. Straight Razors are nothing to be afraid of, just take your time with them and ensure you have had the razor honed by a person who knows what they're doing. If you ever have questions please ask.
Woohoo! Nice to see you on a shave video my friend 👊🏼
Thanks brother! Figured I should do one once in a while
It definitely sings.
