We definitely need to come together and stop being so divided. But I also question the trans atlantic slave trade history and why we give too much credit to white Europeans on what actually happened. It seems too far fetched during the 1500s to mid 1800s to go back and forth on sailboats when there were already people here in the so-called "New World".
Well said. This FBA stuff is allowed to flourish specifically on this platform because it's tribalism. It pushes diviseness and non cooperation, all on the basis of, "that one African person had a mean comment." For decades, upon decades, I’ve witnessed these other groups, whether they’re from Africa, or the Caribbean go out of their way to differentiate themselves from black Americans. They fly their flags. They have different cultural events and most importantly, they often times declare that they’re not black- meaning not black Americans. And you know what they’re right! black Americans are different people than every other immigrant that comes to this soil. We’re the descendants of the group that built this country. No one else can make that claim. They not like us.
That's different than saying we're actually genetically different. We just had a different experience. That does not make us a totally different ppl. That's pure ignorance.
