does this require a lot of focus and efforts, i was thinking to take this along with IIIT/NIT / IIT(if i do good in advance) wud be difficult to multitask... and is it better than doing CS in IIIT (i scored 98.15%ile in mains)?
plus my parents are a little apprehensive about this coz they say doing a degree from one place and then hands on experience matters more in IT industry

He gave very wrong perspective about this entire course. The reality is - It may look comparatively easier to get admission to this stream vs JEE Advanced however the entire game starts when you actually get enrolled. Students are having to use 200% of their brain + 300% more of their efforts in order to keep pace for weekly assignments and then exams + term exams. What he dint tell here is the significant number of students who cracked JEE yet opted for this course.
Yeah and only 18 completed the BS thing... My friends and I started this course this year itself... Most of them are also going to iits for a btech and doing this as a second course, I will be going to Nit calicut electrical and will take this for back up
I am getting a tier 3 gfti electrical, and i was thinking about taking this course parallel to the btech degree in that college. My prospective: this will provide me way more effective knowledge in electronics and also give me a boost with the degree in the perticular field. And ill be more than motivated to learn from iit m faculties. My queries: will it clash with my college curriculum, im totally not thinking about the bs degree and my tier 3 college btech degree, there will be no comparison, I'll focus on both in gaining skill , so im worried about if ill find myself in the middle of sandwich if I try to persue both. The test, assignment and all stuff . I'm confused
my son got 95% in xth, xith and xii were on line because of covid, though sitting at home with computer and mobile all the time, he didnt study , whiled away his time playing etc. last year he got 90 percentile in jee mains and got upto chemical in DTU, NSUT, but said wanted to drop and try once more, i trusted him, but this year he has performed pathetically , at a loss to know what to do, he joined your bitsat crash course too, but i know it is difficult for him with his level of preparation/understanding of class xi and xii phy and chemistry, though in maths he got 96 percent in xiith, what would you suggest I do? will be helpful if you can guide me, he has done poorly in all competetive exams this year, but he might get core in Manipal, is that ok? look to hear back from you
As a IIT Madras bs data science student I can tell you , enroll your son in this course if he wanted to do coding stuff IIT Madras bs data science students can also study offline at IIT Madras by taking 8+= cgpa till 2nd year also there are so many internships start from diploma level , Placements are also very good 👍 So it's better if he join any offline college and do this side by side

I am really not comfortable with online studies. After covid, it was really hard for me to regain that focus I once had. & That is the reason I,&infact this year most of the 2022 12th batch, dropped for jee. I know my potential & how the offline face-to-face classroom programs help me. But not that i am an anti-geek. I still try to walk in hand with the tech/online world but to study the whole of a degree...nahh
Bhai 8 mhine online pdne ke baad dimag sath chod dega mera toh 4 saal ke liye vacation pe chla jayega 😂😂😂
Sir I gone through the 4 week qualifier process and cracked it as well and was eligible to take all 4 subjects in data science through jee advanced entry. But they were not giving the opportunity of postponing the course to jee based candidates so I decided to left out that year as I wanted to pursue it along with btech. So I had to dropped it that year. This course was launched in 2021 by iit madras but gaining popularity in 2023😮
Electronics is launched this year only and also iitm doing heavy promotion everywhere
Data Science course was launched in 2020
Will it be too ambitious do this as a secondary degree with my main B tech.

And the most important thing a lot of people seem to quit online BS degree from IITM, so do they do it because it seems useless or is it more like the students cannot cope with how hard it is ?
@@FlamShot some people are doing other courses along with it but after reaching diploma level they realise that its not easy for them so they have to leave it. And other scenario is that entrance is easy as compared to the curriculum so weak students also get opportunity and after few term exams they started failing in many subjects so they have to leave, this is the biggest scenario.

3) esa nhi hai ki isme ekdam se interaction nhi hote isme bhi Clubs and Houses banaye jate hai aur unke president ka election bhi hota aur functions bhi attend karwana hota hai
4) jo students 2 diploma complete kar chuke hai aur 8+cgpa hai woh on campus padh skte hai aur hostels bhi allot honge
5) 2020 batch Students( 3rd year) got Internships and PPOs from various companies

@MathonGo Sir BS Students will be allowed to take courses offline at the IITM campus from BSc/BS level(there is some cgpa cut-off). The struggle is real. The program needs focus and hard work. There is also a separate placement cell for BS students. many of those who completed the diploma level got internships(20k to 40k). ( PS : I'm a diploma-level student.)
does this require a lot of focus and efforts, i was thinking to take this along with IIIT/NIT / IIT(if i do good in advance) wud be difficult to multitask... and is it better than doing CS in IIIT (i scored 98.15%ile in mains)?
plus my parents are a little apprehensive about this coz they say doing a degree from one place and then hands on experience matters more in IT industry

Is internship after diploma in programming support by iitm?
He gave very wrong perspective about this entire course. The reality is - It may look comparatively easier to get admission to this stream vs JEE Advanced however the entire game starts when you actually get enrolled. Students are having to use 200% of their brain + 300% more of their efforts in order to keep pace for weekly assignments and then exams + term exams. What he dint tell here is the significant number of students who cracked JEE yet opted for this course.
This course is so tough that only few hundred students only qualified for Bsc level.
What have to decided i am in kinda same situation
