I have been hunting for an industrial machine off and on for years. The last 4 months I have gotten really, really serious. After watching you, I ordered my Juki DU-1181n…. When I placed the order with Steve, I told him it was all because of you and the confidence you gave me. Have been making bags on a Bernina Artista 185 - and have struggled…. This will be a game changer for me. I actually cried when I placed the order - I was SOOOOO happy!
Awww congrats!!!!! Remember to give yourself grace with the new machine and take your time! They are a strange beast to get used to. But once you do. Oh the magic you’ll make 💜💜💜
Lauren, this is such a great tutorial! I love the additional external slip pocket and how you've done your straps 😍 Thank you for choosing one of my patterns!!!
Great tutorial, especially the explanations and tips throughout, and I love the materials you used too. 💙 I'm not sure about the straps though. While they look awesome would it be better if there was some padding under them as well for comfort when wearing? In my experience the webbing cuts in on my shoulders and where it goes under my arm. ☹ (I'm tall with broad shoulders which doesn't help either)
I want to see one of this style but the straps are in a cross body style. Because I want the function of the bag itself as the backpack not the cross body bag. I hope that makes sense.
I going buy the bag 💼 pattern but i have sewing machines but not one like your I’m looking into getting one but I don’t want Spain that much money 💴 on one you have any idea 💡 I’m fast learning to do anything
Just curious, is there a reason you use fusible foam if you don’t fuse it? The non fusible stuff is cheaper so I’m just wondering if there’s other benefits to the fusible. I’m still a newbie with foam, only used it a handful of times so far.

Great pattern, really like fabric pattern/design.
Great bag. Some Duck billed scissors would be useful for cutting out overlay area for zip. Xxx
