How to find the perfect Audio-Video Receiver for your Dream Home Cinema Experience? Which is the BEST AVR or Amplifier for Home Theater?
When it comes to AV Receiver shopping, there is no way to understand which one to buy? What power requirements to check? How many channels are required?
This video is your guide to shop home theater AV Receiver, correctly. And we have made it simple by listing out 7 points -
    1. Understanding the Flow - AVR is like your main console. Inputs i.e. the content sources are connected to the AVR using HDMI and analog inputs. The data is further divided and speaker gets sound which is decoded and video is processed separately and further sent to the output device like TV or Projector by HDMI.
    2. Number of Channels - Number of channels determine, the number of speakers you want to connect. 7ch is bare minimum today, where it can be 7ch Atmos, digital or 5ch in Main zone and 2ch in Zone 2
    3. Power Requirements - We discussed how selecting speakers is easy, cause you can listen to them. Now, once you know the speakers. Read the speaker specs and check for recommended amp power and impedance. This will give you an idea of how much power your speaker requires and at what impedance. This makes the AVR selection process easy. If you want to know more about speaker specs, check out the link at the end of this video to know more better.
    4. Number of Inputs - Calculate the number of devices to connect to AVR. Also, whether they are Analog or Digital. The analog and digital inputs has to be cross checked with the rear panel images of the AVR for confirmation.
    5. Studying the Dimensions - See what fits in your cabinet. Dimensions of the AVR is very important as you have to make provisions likewise and also provide some space for ventilation. This point is important for long life and health of your AVR.
    6. Wireless Multi Room Compatibility - There are many Wireless Multi-Room systems like Heos, MusicCast, Sonos, etc. and you need to check whether this parameter is important to you while selecting an AV Receiver.
    7. Remote Control & App Control - Almost all the wifi enabled AVRs today have got their Control apps available on Google and Apple store and these can be downloaded for better control of your AVR. The remote control too, has to be checked for Presets, Scenes, Input and Output control.

Thank you, I have 9.1 surround or 7.1.2 atmos , Marantz sr-6015 with Q-Ac 3050ii main and matching Q-qc in my hall with 1 sub of 100 W.. Audessy calibrated . Almost good sound but missing clarity when compared to theater sound like TAK, TAK , KAT-KAT. Another doubt is about the availability content of the Dolby atoms. Can I convert PCM or stereo sound to Surround or Atmos my own using any processor? Or should I get processed sound from source itself?

    Dear brother
I hope you are created such good knowledge to all AV Interested people really appreciate that choose right amplifier means according to room & listening positions it requires some certain watts Ex Listening position is 12feet consumer using 7.2 channel Dolby Atmos format all fronts & surround ,& top required certain db to meet the Dolby Atmos content 120watts X 7 all channel driven X8ohms signal required your speakers are need to less than 120 watts of AVR power means your speakers need to deliver 50 to 80 watts signal only then only both power will match 80hz to 100hzto 10khz or 20khz signal now days so called denon or marantz or yamaha pioneer except onkyo all AVRS meet only 60watts to 100 watts signal only except Higher AVR meet up to 120watts power only which AVR is right? If the speakers is tower with 3 way driver with 2 Low-frequency & midrange driver recommended use power amp for that channel don't connect directly to AVR all the people & home theatre recommended people please be aware of this knowledge to AV seekers

Hello Tanmay, First of all, you make absolutely informative videos which I am sure helps a lot of people like it does to me. I am currently in a dilemma where probably you could only help me. I own a Benq Projector TK-800M and I want to pair it with a Dolby Atmos speakers but unfortunately Benq doesn’t have an HDMI arc. The ports it has are 2 standard HDMIs, Aux Audio IN & Out. I don’t have a budget to buy a AV receiver. Is there a way I could achieve dolby atmos? Currently my setup has a chromecast connected to the projector and I am using the chomecast’s Bluetooth to pair it with a normal speaker. Please help me

@@TanmayMehta thanks. My masterbedroom is 16 feet x 13.5 feet. 65 inch Tv will be placed on 16 feet wall while bed head will be on the opposite 16 feet wall. So the distance for back speakers will be 13.5 feet. It has a wardrobe unit 7 feet wide on the left side of bed and a window 6x5 feet plus door 7x3 feet on the right side of the bed. I don't like the concept of dedicated room for hometheatre as one hardly uses it then. Hence I thought of putting up the 5.1 system with a good av receiver like denon. Lighting is as per any standard bedroom. I want to know what Sound expectations should I have in making this setup. Will acoustics be possible or it won't matter that much if I buy a good system.
