15 years ago I bought the collectors edition of Face the Colossus, purely because the box was epic looking! Had never heard about the band before that moment.
I saw them live on Nov. 3rd for the first time as the opening act for the Japanese band Dir En Grey. They were intense and fucking amazing! I would definitely pay to see them live again! Hope they come back to America :)

sorry to disapoint you, but there's no resembelence or similarity between Shawter's Voice and Chad's of Mudvayne....Chad's Voice is more rusty, so it sounds a little bit like he's drowning sometimes and it comes from his throat when he screams the shit out of his lungs, Shawter's Voice is more gutural and comes more frome his stomach/chest when he pulls of the trigger by shouting, that's why Shawter sounds sometimes like someone who shouts in a hole, because he tries to get a much cleaner sounding in his shouts and keep them deep as much as possible so he sounds more like a giant beast or else....you need also to take a look on the two different styles of metal these two bands make... the influences both had and everything... okay, maybe there are some parts in some songs that sound similar to someone, but if you take a closer look you will see what i tried to explain you
I'm just comparing the similar sound of the voice , not the technique , it´s like said that Eddie Vedder and Chris Cornell voices sound similar but they didn´t have the same technique.

Je vois que le metal Français ce débrouille à merveille avec Gojira, Rise Of the northstart, et Betraying the martyrs même si je soupçonne que c'est pas 100% Français Mais le metal Français c'est massterclass bravo à vous
of their works the earliest have the most aggression and some wtf moments, so if you like that you should get the Release the Fury ep and their self titled album if you enjoy their more melodic side it starts with What Hell is About (which this song is on) and gets much more pronounced with the follow up Face the Colossus that has their most melancholic sound their next album Poseidon, although it contains lots of melodic, soft parts is more positive and energetic in the harsh parts again and has quite a sharp production their most recent Post Mortem Nihil Est lacks drive in most parts meant to be agressive, in the softer parts it"s well executed but not quite as thoughtful as before, but the track The Great Wonder is quite a nice metalized rock song if you are looking for other bands that you are likely to enjoy if you enjoy Dagoba, i can recommend AssJack, Fear Factory, Infernal Poetry and Strapping Young Lad
all their albums are great ! my fav sonfs : I reptile, kiss me kraken (all the last album so...) cancer, I sea red, Columnae, the nightfall and all its mistakes, and my number one : IT's ALL ABOUT TIME !
