I think the Solicitor General Francis Jardeleza is in the right tract in putting things in its proper perspective despite political turmoil going on in this country.
I completely agree. Blaming the other camp just makes us weaker as a nation kasi lalo tayong nadidivide. The WPS issue is complex and it is only natural na may iba ibang perspective para ayusin yon. Realist (like duterte) would consider na it's better to have a passive approach over this, afterall we are getting a lot of investments and employments from China. Plus, comparing the donated Vaccine of US and China, napakalayong China ang tumulong. On the other hand, idealists (Carpio and like minded ones) will keep on insisting that we won the tribunal ruling etc.
We are a divided small country up against a huge giant na COMMUNIST, one minded.
That's the big problem with us that instead we are to unite against China eh meron pa din mga pro China at mga traydor sa bayan by no less than the former president, what a shame! Sa pagkakaintindi ko, sinasabi lang nito ni ex. Sol gen. Jardeleza na BBM does not go with FPRRD policy, and we should just agree that they do not not agree with each other then move on... Parang, (1)hayaan mo na yung panahon na lumipas during Duterte. Idugtong nalang natin yung works/achievements about arbitral award ni PNoy sa solusyon na ginagawa ni PBBM, depende nalang sa "diskarte" ng current administration. (2) Hayaan mo na yung kakulangan ni FPRRD, lets proceed nalang ginagawa ni PBBM kasi he's on the right path naman.
Well, It's just doesn't feel right to ignore everything that happened now that we have this thing call, "gentlemen's agreement" aka secret agreement. There are still questions to ask about this so that we could come up with the best solution.
The main idea that I got from him isn't that we should ignore what FPRRD did, but rather we should not prioritize it and make it a bigger problem than it actually is. There's no written agreement and FPRRD also sides with the arbitration as cited with the UN speech. We're not obliged to follow FPRRD's deal so it doesn't really hinder what the current administration is doing.

THE proposed P5.768-trillion 2024 national budget includes almost P500 billion social amelioration program or 'ayuda' for at least 12 million poor and low-income families or an estimated 48 million Filipinos, Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez said Tuesday.
“For the first time, under the administration of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., we are allocating half-a-trillion pesos, or about nine percent of the national budget, as assistance to the poor and households with insufficient income,” Speaker Romualdez said as he thanked Ako Bicol Partylist Rep. Zaldy Co, chairman of the House Committee on Appropriations, Sen. Sonny Angara, chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, and his colleagues for a job well done in crafting a pro-people budget under the Marcos administration.
“We are hoping that in some way, we are able to support people who badly need government help to get them through hard times,” he said.
President Marcos is set to sign the proposed 2024 spending program tomorrow in ceremonies at the Palace.
Speaker Romualdez, the leader of the 300-plus-strong House of Representatives, enumerated the programs for which the P500 billion was allocated.
He revealed that Congress introduced in the budget a new program labelled AKAP, for Ayuda sa Kapos ang Kita.
“It’s a P60-billion fund, whose aim is to provide direct cash assistance to the ‘near poor’ or families earning up to P23,000 a month. At least 12 million households will benefit from it, including low-income workers like those in construction and factories, drivers, food service crew, and the like,” Speaker Romualdez said

Gave-away Ayungin Shoal? We still have the BRP Sierra Madre there and our marines are still there. Kung pati resupply ng food, water hindi nangyare, baka pati mga Marines naten ay nawala na jan. There's no such thing as gentleman's agreement. It's an agreement to continue with the status quo. Please look for the news article re: Ayungin Shoal inked in 2013. Take note 2013-Pnoy's admin.

The tribunal cannot decide over the case of Ayungin dahil considered militarized dahil Navy Ship ang Sierra Madre. Now the question is, if there was no Status Quo ever since, why did we not repair and fortify Sierra Madre from 1999 to 2016?
