That's a good trick at 3:50. I'd be really interested to see how you could integrate foreground and background effects to really create some intricate looks.
Wow I love that video clip at the end!! Definitely using that editing technique, thanks!
whoa, i've never seen long exposure technique into video!
Then you put into Commercial idea, that's crazy man
Thanks man 🤘 loving the super sharp images you get from this too! Give it a go !
Hola Joey, eres un gran maestro, inspiras bastante, mil gracias por compartir sus conocimientos, saludos desde Colombia 🇪🇨
I knew about long exposure, but didn't knew about that video masking trick, that's so cool!!
@@JoeyPalmroos Of course I will that's a sick trick, where did you get it from? Or you thought about it by yourself?
This technique is so simple yet so amazing when done right. Great job! Loved the way you turned the photos into video!
Yes, a tutorial lets go Joey I so excited for more of this content and mix of everything I have been waiting for this. Keep the grind going bro we all support you 🤘👏🙌👀💪
Love this concept man! I’ve always loved long exposure photography! Tying into video is so dope!
Tbh this chanel need to have millions of subscribers.
Hopefully he gets there soon
really good idea! never thought of mixing long exposure photos to a video!
YESSS!!! haha I was so stoked to see that their was a video for this, that long exposure was seriously the dopest trick and it used in the coolest way. Thanks for sharing the behind the scenes for how you came up with the concept and the camera settings for getting the long exposures. Can't wait to see what you come up with next!
Man, so creative!! These look insane! Will definitely put this to use in the future, thanks!
Hey Joey! I just discovered your tutorials. Man!!! Awesome 🤘. I like the fact that you are the kind of straight forward and pragmatic creative 💪. Cool stuff man. Thanks for the tutorials you do. Keep up the good work. Can't wait to see more 😉 . Cheers 🍻
Dude you deserve more subcribers and viewers! Always anticipating your uploads!
Great video, appreciate the explanation and will try in the future for sure :)
So this is how mr. benjiman ortega does this with is sick car edits! Thank you so much good sir.
Great video man! I can definitely see that method u used with the Gin bottle, getting used in real life advertisements!
i don't have a camera or a good phone but i watch your videos cuase it so enjoyable
I love doing this! I've been doing long exposure for about 20 years now, I actually started photography with it, so it was a ton of testing and fun on 35mm. Light wands are awesome for this. Great tutorial Joey!
Always killing it man 🔥, I’m trying to learn how to mask things properly on premier or after effects
Use mask feathering to make the edges the way you want it. In Joey's example he used a high feathering (the dashed outer line was far away from the mask line). Even a few pixel feathering can make a huge deal in the end result. Too sharp mask makes it look artificial really quickly.
I was so sceptical when reading the title but damn this was fire!! 🔥🔥
I was trying to figure this out with shooting in video, which I did but it wasn't too effective. However doing in photo mode and masking is way easier! Gonna use this technique to spice things up, thanks Joey!!
I requested for this video and it is uploaded 🤗🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Well done Joey! maybe in the final clip you can try to add the long exposure photo on top of a video in which you light the product with the same color halping to sell the effect better. Great idea my friend! I will try this for sure in the future! :)
很棒 能学到一些知识 谢谢
If you don’t already have a video could you make one more in depth on how to do that light trail mask please 🤘🏼❤️
Супер!
Большое спасибо!
You don't actually need to mask the lightstreak frame-by-frame 02:30 since the path is pretty linear. A simple swipe-transition in and out would've worked as the same in this case. I also know a technique how you can turn a video into a live-lightpainting video. You lightpaint the video while you move the light.
Awesome video! What was your camera setting for the product shot?
Love idea! :) but don’t u think upper light on gin bottle shouldn’t be different shape?
Thanks 🙏 ye could be! I like the top down down light above with the glow 😊
This trick is sick! 🔥🔥 Joey, can you say what sound effect I need to find for this sequence? I mean what I need to search for this sound effect at 3:22? Please answer, I need it so much 🙏
Cool..
Now i get it. Long before I tried it but when i click, it shakes a bit and mess all.
Thank you joey...
^_-
Can you please do a little more in depth on the masking portion in premier
There’s a lot of great masking tutorials on UA-cam but could do little bit more in depth one in the future with other project 😊🤘
I rewatched the video a few times now, but I still have this question. How do properly expose two different photos together when you have a static image + long exposure image to create a video out of it? Do I expose one photo for the product and one for the lights?
Could someone explain to me in more detail exactly how to create that effect in video?
Thanks I will attempt this... did you have to mask yourself out too when walking with the light or does it just automatically blur you out or hide you with the long exposure...?
Because he's walking he's being blurred out,the light stays because the sensor is really sensitive to light
can this be done in photoshop? I can't afford premiere pro
SIC! Why is the light in the Gin shot in lines rather than one solid light? is that to do with the shutter speed or is this an effect you have created in post?
cooool! was your studio that bright when you did it or was it just for the video? so much light, long shutter speed but your background is still black🤔
@@JoeyPalmroos oookeeey, how you did that with the godox
rgb (cam settings)?
It might be possible to get the same affect in camera in video. Some camera's let you shoot as low as 2fps video like the gh5. I've seen it used to do light-trails of car lights, hadn't thought of using it this way though.
Oh my god you done what I thought..... 💭
@@JoeyPalmroos yeah bro... I really wanted to make long exposures using RGB light's....... You're such an eye opener... Thanks 😊
I shoot it and tag you in instagram... Check that out bro..
Im so glad to see you doing content about long exposure ! Its one of my favourite type of photography and your product shot with light trail is so amazing! I hv tagged u on my Instagram page for the light trail little challenge, however is light trail on portrait and architecture instead of product . Hope u will check it out 🙏🏻 love ur channel as always
Thanks so much man! Ye same definitely love this style of photography n will use this method for film in the future 🤘😊 the challenge photo or vid can be anything
One question where to fucus in dark when you are switching to manual as in the lake scene you did
Just in case everyone was has been confused as well, he says "Hows it going y'all, its awesome to see you all tuned back in"
