What a fantastic structure, great work by network rail, thanks for braving the elements to do this video.
Of all the routes I drive and have driven in the past two decades, the Settle and Carlisle line is the jewel in the crown for me and Ribblehead viaduct is the only place where I have ever seen the rain going quite literally sideways !!
You have done such amazing work with this channel. You should be proud my man.
Thank you kind sir! 🚂👷🏼♂️📸🥳🙏☀️
Thank you to all and thanks for the film. We’re only down the road in Ingleton 👍
Fantastic work Gordon. Thank you for your efforts in filming this and putting it out there for us all to see. What amazing work those engineers are and have been carrying out. Working at such height in those conditions. It is wonderful to see such fantastic infrastructure being looked after by a cracking team. Thank you once again for all your hard work. It is greatly appreciated. All the best. Ed
Pleased to hear that nobody died during this repair project, unlike during the original construction. Safer methods and mechanisation have improved since then. Thank goodness the Pacers have gone as well.
Am so glad the weather came out for you at Ribblehead, would be disappointing if it was dry / sunny
Brilliant video!
Fantastic video Gordon amazing work they done well done the orange army 👍👍👏👏
A glorious structure. Good job done!
Incredible structure, hope to travel over it in the near future.
We were up there last week whilst the last scaffold was still present. The colas timber train came over as we arrived although with the very cold wind my little 2 yr old wasn’t quite so impressed! Well done Network Rail and all involved, a great piece of near 150 year old engineering!
Amazing work!!! Glad to see it being looked after 🙂🚂🚂🚂
Brilliant to see this fine structure maintained and fully functioning. Lots of credit must also go to the scaffolders building such a complex structure to be able to work from in such bad weather.
That is real engineering! Thanks for following the project on our behalf 🙂
Superb Ribblehead viaduct most definitely a favourite of mine, can't wait to be travelling along there soon 😊x
One day I will travel that line. It's beautiful. Thank you for the update Gordon.
That viaduct is so beautiful. Marvellous piece of railway engineering. Network Rail are doing very well improving our railways during these difficult times including Coronavirus. Nice work Network Rail and Nodrog.
Nice to see the job complete! These great structures were well built, but there is always a dedicated maintenance team "behind the scenes". In all weathers, keeping on top of the various activities.
Also thanks to you for filming in the les than hospitable horizontal rain and wind.
Afternoon 👋
great video you look freezing gordon lol
wonderful gordon
What a fantastic video
Another good one
I’ll be going over the viaduct when I’m on Tornado to Carlisle and back over with Flying Scotsman in October 27th
Fantastic Video Nodrog, it's such a desirable relieve that the project was paid off quite quickly despite with the wintery weather conditions that both Engineers Team and Network Rail had to comprehend, Cope with in filling out cracks and patching them to
support the bricks, and so this Railway memorabilia can continue many futures to come:)
Wow - thanks so much for this Nodrog! Really appreciate the lengths you've gone to to report this, and more so the immense work of the engineers! Awe inspiring stuff - what an important part of the country :)
My pleasure buddy. 👍👷🏼♂️👍
Crikey what a brilliant video. So glad I found you recently, your videos are amazing, what a job role too!!!! You’re a star, thank for the vids, and all the best to you and family.
My pleasure. Glad you like the videos 🥳👍
Great vlog again Gordon hope the dead cat dried out
Was Crossley the Same man/family of crossley motors ?
Can they now double it again?
I was thinking the same. It really should be doubled.
theydidntsaywhat repairsweredone save filling in somnewceacks
PS, the weather isn’t always so bad, honest. You guys were working in the worst weather at the worst time of year.
I’ll be back that way soon. I’m sure the sun will shine 👍
@@nodrog Fingers crossed for you, we look forward to seeing your film.
Hi man I’ve applied for a course at college called City & Guilds Level 2 NVQ Certificate Rail Engineering Maintenance. Can I get your thoughts on doing this course? Not sure if it’s worth the money and time
I’m sorry. I’ve not done a course like this. I’m sure it’ll be fine - check with your college.
