Most easiest method to solve BPT without construction If you take triangle ABC in which ADE is also To prove :-AB/DB=AE/EC Step 1 Since line is parallel then corresponding angles will also equal Step 2 By AA similarity triangle will similar then their corresponding sides in equal ratio Result you obtain AD/AB=AE/AC Take the reciprocal and subtract 1 on both sides And After the result you obtain take again reciprocal And you will get AB/DB=AE/EC
