Off topic from portal talk but you should give the hockey a bit of a boost they gotta take the trip to Minnesota this weekend and it should be a grade A matchup
The portal and NIL, as it is now, will crash the college football system. I know it’s hard to convince young people of this, I was young and naive once too. But I use my 45 years of wisdom (which is only obtained to years of experience in this world) to tell you then when a system experiences constant and rapid change, that system becomes unstable and very difficult to sustain. This is true of any system. The portal and NIL has created an inherit state of constant change. The system is unstable and if not corrected, will crash. Through my experience I’ve seen this hold true in all systems. The college football machine is just another system, and if not stabilized , will crash.
By losing so many games it hurt MSU in the realm of recruiting and the evil portal. Without some limits on the portal college football will destroy itself. Maybe if they put an upper limit on what can be offered and maybe have players limited to one trip in the portal every three yrs.
Well, it's kind of pivotal and important in discussing MSU's season. MSU was actually winning in the UM game. Which in hindsight seems like an improbability. How was this horrible MSU team a few plays from beating UM? They also bring up Iowa. It's not like they sat there talking about nothing but UM.

you can get all the CB and WR’s you want. But we will never have another successful season if we do not get a competent OL.
The difference is that MSU stretched the perimeter in their rush attack vs the Wolverines with cut backs, and OSU tried to run between the tackles.
Need to concentrate on both lines of the ball and find some WR's.
Brantley is not a loss, often injured, not fully bought in. Made big plays vs Prairie View

I didn't think he had any eligibility left
Why are we not talking about changes with the OC considering how inept the offense was for most of the season.
Brantley during press conference regretful for previous portal entries 🤨
Leaning towards Oklahoma and Colorado
Brantley’s uncle says he’s really leaving this time
I wouldn't rule out Brantley coming back. He made a leap this season and could just want to make sure he gets a fair NIL deal.
Goodness can he stop bring up the what if this what if that Michigan Michigan smh
Not possible. Sparty fans live for seeing Michigan lose more than they live for seeing MSU win.
@@Jon.A.Scholt and yet here you are...
@@jjmckay6man1 Touché! Though as much as I enjoy seeing Sparty suffer, I enjoy Michigan winning much more.
@@Jon.A.Scholt Yeah I feel the same way but about Sparty. I'm just glad we don't have a NOA for 3 seasons of cheating hanging over our heads...

So the bad news is players are leaving and the good news is some players are visiting MSU?
Lol yup... typical portal season stuff. If Nick marsh stays which it sounds like he is then this portal season will be a success.
Brantley thing is getting old. MSU needs to move on from him. He is becoming a distraction.
