I think it's important to note that the machine has a switch on the right side underneath the machine to deactivate/activate the ECO-Mode. Either action will be displayed on the timer with a crossed E or an E telling you which mode the machine will be in. Also good to know: The machine will stay in whatever mode you set, even after switching the machine off and on, until you choose to change that with the mentioned switch.
Will be visiting Seattle next month and SCG is on our list of places to visit...though I fear it will be a costly visit if I look to close at these Rocket's :)
Not sure where it measures from. Mine is the same.cold there is not reading, hot it can read nothing or anywhere from nothing to 9. When you activate the pump, it will zip up to 9. When you preinfuse, it will drop to zero. It will preinfuse a bit faster if the gauge was reading higher.
I don’t see any technical advantage between that and the Mozzafiato. Is there any or it’s purely a layout thing? I bought the Evo-R timer and it was the best purchase I ever did in my life. Will brew something right now to celebrate. Thanks Gail!
My new machine doesn't switch itself off , Does that mean I got a dud , I accidentally left it on and it was on all day .Its the same machine 3 days old and the water lid has broken already , (plastic has fallen out because of broken clips )the steam wand struggles to froth milk to latte art standard as the pressure drops to low when steaming , and two cups in a row is no go without waiting 5 mins. I also need to wait a few minutes after pulling a shot for the steam in the tank ,even though it shows one bar of pressure ,if I froth straight away the pressure drops to .4 bar which I find is no good for getting silky milk with good froth. Any ideas for a remedy other than cutting my losses selling it and buying a dual boiler machine of a different brand . Definitely disappointed so far with this one .

If the meter is showing almost "9" 2:15 when the brew head is completely empty then how does it show "8" 2:52 when your grounds are in the brew head but are too coarse? Are these gauges rocket uses matched quality with the rest of the machine?? Can they be calibrated to an expected level of accuracy when they are off this far?
I just bought one. Mine doesn't do that. The only time that gauge drops is if I use the hot water attachment and run a lot of water out of the boiler and it is filling up. This happens when you use the hot water attachment. I don't know how hot the machine was in the video or if for some reason the boiler was filling. The gauge would read low until the boiler is full and at pressure. If the boiler is filling the pump is going while you are NOT pulling a shot. To get the gauge to drop, you'd have to pull shots with a cold machine or just let it excessively run so it has to fill the boiler. A fast running shot will not affect the gauge unless it just isn't up to temp/pressure.
I use this as my ASMR to fall asleep. Love the reviews and I have an expresso but watching her is soooooo relaxing.

Mozzafiato is just an asthetic difference. Straight aluminum side panels instead of curved stainless.

Don't think I like the auto shut-off. That can cause problems if you're entertaining and just want to set it to ON. Hope it's selectable.
