Good video. Suggestion: If you're going to put that bottle directly in the fire be sure to wrap it in foil, or wipe it with liquid soap. The soap keeps the black soot from sticking and you can rub it off with a hand full of dirt if you don't have spare water. Otherwise all your gear gets blackened. :/
40 oz Kleen Kanteen is even better, but yes, boiling water in these works perfectly. I'm surprised Kleen Kanteen doesn't embrace the fact (and start marketing) that it's ideal for camping/bushcraft. They'd make a bank in this market.
I have the stainless steel cap (~$12 extra) that I'd use for this-resting on top, obviously, not screwed on. And boil it however long you feel comfortable with, but it should be okay as soon it hits a rolling boil. Beyond that you get diminishing returns from both your water (as it evaporates) and your fuel (as it burns).
No idea. Kinda silly. Same goes for the titanium and Stainless mugs. Only lids out there are for military canteens. The lids I use for my stainless mugs on the cups with my Nalgene bottles are spare lids for a coffee pot.
Shadowtechnik It does not have a metal lid. I wanted a wide mouth bottle (one I can fit my hand in and clean) with water tight metal lid. There was a single company Vargo that did make such a bottle Bot" to my knowledge and out of titanium no less but the quality control was terrible and from the factory no heating whatsoever many people couldn't get the lid off with a pipe wrench and a vice. Others had issues after actually using it to cook. So I'm still waiting on a perfect bottle.

Cool, thanks for trying this out. Sadly all mine are cheaper and painted so I cant boil in them.

Why has noone come out with a stainless steel or titanium bottle with a full sized lid that actually fits...

***** Stainless steel is fine. Women; smh its never good enough is it?
***** Correct o.o
I'd rather have the $15 Stanley Adventure lil pot with the lid that has holes.
Yeah, but you can't carry liquid in that
Nice review
