I grinned when I saw this video posted 😄! You are by far my favorite Mulberry video poster and can watch and fall in love with my own Mulberry items over and over again when watching your videos. So so glad you remembered your fans, it is great to see you! I was hoping you would eventually get something mulberry from the new collection and perhaps enlighten us on your final verdict as I am a die hard old mulberry fan and for now do not have the means to test out the new (which I myself am very bummed about :( . But coming from you it would go a long way! Wishing you the best!

Hi, what are your thoughts on the Patent leather Mulberry bayswater?

Ledbury: Yep, from the early 2000s. Not sure when, exactly, but the Bayswater was launched in 2002. Have you thought about maybe dying it to give it some new life? Also, for anyone wanting a new one, it is pretty much the same as the old SBS which is still available; just remove the strap!
French purse: you don’t need to correct yourself, still called a French Purse :) I have the same one as you and love it! It has sadly now been discontinued and no longer available on the website, but you can get them in the outlet stores.
Bayswater: still being made, but now part of the ‘heritage collection’. Made out of NVT these days but has been made out of NVT for years! Darwin was discontinued about 10 years ago and replaced with NVT which is fairly similar and still gorgeous!
Keyrings: both now discontinued and not sure on price, but key rings have always typically been under £100
Scarf: also discontinued 😭 equivalent scarves are around £175
Lily: happily, the oxblood NVT version you have HASN’T been discontinued 💃🏻 oxblood NVT is one of my favourite leathers! It’s £775 :)
Phew! Hope that information is helpful. I’m also very sad about the direction mulberry is going in but buy pretty much everything pre-loved anyway so not feeling hugely affected yet!

Nawal Zahid sorry, I only know of outlet stores in UK. eBay is probably your best bet.
I'm selling my Mulberry French Purse in oak on eBay because I want to get a larger Mulberry purse. eBay is definitely the place to buy one since they discontinued them.
Awesome video, Loved it. Just wondered how you stored your Mulberry bags as they seem quite crinkled. I know as the leather ages they do become softer which I think is part of the appeal. I do agree with you the brand has changed so much, maybe when old Johnny leaves they might get in a new designer who brings back some of the old leathers and styles. Online they dont always appeal to me so much but if you go to a large shop, I cant help but still love some of the pieces, they still are so well made and I love them. For sure there are pieces that are a little too quirky and not what you would think would come from Mulberry. Some outlets do have some older pieces and I have just been to a sample sale that was fantastic and even cheaper xx

Really enjoyed hearing your thoughts on Mulberry. I feel the same as you.....I'm just not loving their new designs and the changes they have made i.e. the postman's lock etc. I just can't get excited about the brand anymore, it's such a shame :(. Love watching your videos so much! Would love to see you more frequently on here :)

I’ve heard of the handbag spa from a newspaper article a few years ago. I haven’t used a handbag restoration service either. I would consider it if any of my bags needed repair. I’m sure they must be a UA-camr who has a review on handbag restoration services. Best of luck with your search 😊
I've watched your video so many times over the years. It just popped up in my recommended so I thought I might as well watch it again. Have you thought about dying your Ledbury Black? Then you could get more use out of it? X
Back again, I just bought the new version of the French purse in oak which they now call the medium french continental purse. I still have my original NVT French purse. I cannot wait to compare them. I feel that the new version is slightly smaller.

What brand are you thinking of moving onto? Hill and friends and aspinal have both caught my eye. I adore mulberry, in 2011 they were fantastic so many styles you could of work for life. Now it’s a bit to out there for my taste. I just got a black cara from the outlet. NVT leather cannot be beaten

I thought I was the only one who disliked the new style Mulberry. I visited the store at Christmas and the sales assistant tried to sell me a handbag and purse and I was very disappointed. The new Mulberry French Purse is out and I'm sad to say I cannot see the purse lasting as long as the older versions. The leather has changes and the Mulberry logo is painted on and will fade in due time.
Please dont take this rudely but im a little shocked watching this. Some of these bags given their age dont look the best. Colour transfer, shape loss. Is it due to this style of leather you say is no longer for sale or are you quite laid back with your bags? Im only asking as I was purchasing one of these next week and quite honestly the lily after 18 months of wear has put me off. Please dont take this rudely I don't mean to sound so blunt but i wanted your opnion? Thank you!
I hope you don’t mind me replying but I thought I might be able to help...
Alice is very honest in her Bayswater videos and states that she doesn’t condition, prime or treat her bags with protective sprays - such as Colonil. She explains that she likes to let them wear and she prefers to pay for the quality of Mulberry because she uses them every day and they stand up to her lifestyle.
The original Bayswater bags (before the current Creative Director Johnny Coca) were built from hides that would soften and lose their structure with age. Mulberry, IMO, had a more rustic feel to it back then, particularly in the days of Nicholas Knightley who was creative director before Emma Hill.
I don’t feel the quality now in 2020 is the same as it was 20-15 years ago.
Enjoyed your new video. I have a Classic Bays in Black and a Mini Lily in oak. Like you, I loved Mulberry more before the new director came on board. The new leathers are treated or coated which makes them appear less luxurious in my opinion. The process now used does not make the leathers age well. It cracks and chips. You can still purchase the Classic Bayswater. Recommend it over the new one by far. Other brands that I enjoy are All Saints handbags, and a great all Made in Canada brand using Italian leathers called m0851. They are very modern, high quality and a great price point. The company is edgy and has a great urban vibe. m0851.com
