Happy birthday! I’m still chasing the rampage/killing tally roll but I got one with extended mag/rewind rounds/killing tally and that thing is awesome! I also like destabilizing rounds/killing tally for adds. Not sure if it has a ton of benefit on my void hunter with gyrfalcons but it seems to work well for clearing adds.
My ONE Gripe about weapons that utilize onslaught is that sh-t timer mechanic. I've found more often than not my Onslaught timer decreasing faster than I can locate or kill the needed mobs to keep the perk running at tier 2 and 3 which I found annoyingly inconsistent.The other issue is that the perk RELIES on red-bar mobs to stay functional no mobs no perk than your screwed what than exactly!? That's my problem with that perk but it's also any perk that only stays functioning for 3.seconds it's just too short to be a reliable time window and requires nearby mobs to even function. Yes Rampage+Onslaught=100%dmg but the circumstances are unreliable. I personally think Rampage+ Killing tally is more consistent.

My first Hammerhead drop was a Rampage/Onslaught combo and i immediately masterworked it, going to be my ad clear machine gun
Happy birthday man. I remember when Hammerhead was my very first heavy machine gun weapon ever in the game back in days of the season of The Black Armory And it was it was my favorite weapon to use and I'm so happy that it has returned.
hammerhead with 4th time the charm and killing tally, is the best on void hunter. Kill as many adds as you can without finishing the mag and void dash to auto load the hammer head and then dump all your ammo on the boss, its insane how much damage you can do.

The dash doesn't reset Killing Tally? Pretty sure it does, since it counts as a reload.

Said it before, rewind rounds + high impact reserves has potential. All shots that reload from rewind SHOULD, in theory at least, benefit from high impact since the reloads equal half of your mag assuming all bullets hit.

Great video as always. Just completed a 50 wave and got two great hammerheads. One has arrowhead break extended mag rewind rounds and onslaught that’s also a shiny. The other is a regular with rampage and onslaught.

My second ever drop was Extended mag + Rampage + Desperate measures. Can't wait to test it, I suspect it will be nuts.
remember for desperate measures to get maximum stacks, you FIRST need a weapon kill and THEN a grenade/melee kill. If you do it the other way around, it maxes out at only 2 stacks

I'm a little surprised that no one has mentioned great combo of rampage/desperate measures. I got the to drop and adds and bosses melt.

Lol at the south park reference 😂 congrats on your kid and happy birthday. Envious is the clear winner for me as far as a mag extention perk, someone was trolling me saying rewind was the obvious better choice. I get one with it and it definitely isn't. Envious has gotten me 210+ rounds in the mag, where as rewind at best doubles the mag and even at the 73 round mag, that's only 146 in comparison to my 210+. Envious + killing tally is the best roll imo, I'm mowing down bosses with killing tally x 3 and 50,60,70 bullets left in my mag.

I stored at least a dozen or more Hammerheads in the vault. Sort them out later. The good rolls were dropping like crazy.

In all honesty i have multiple roll on brave arsenal like 3-5 recluse for keep it
I feel like with Hammerhead, there's several rolls that are good in which you can't go wrong with. I got fourth time's the charm and target lock, which i personally like, even though machine guns aren't meant for DPS (unless it's a xenophage or Thunderlord). I also got rampage and killing tally which was the roll I was going for, so I'm content with those!
Just got access to the revamped Hammerhead and I can say I thoroughly missed this gun. It was my ace in the hole during the Black Armoury period and it still kicks ass today.
With the way enemies group up in onslaught, AP rounds may be the way to go. Every bullet hits twice. I wouldn't bother with mag extending perks in the left, just put some loaders on your feet and switch to your god tier special for a few seconds every now and then

boots of the assembler (empowering)[1.35], surges[1.22], child of the old gods[1.15], volatile from grenade kills[*], rampage[1.331], killing tally[1.3] = 3.277 ~ 328% increase in damage. not including game mode modifiers like void surge [1.25] or machine gun surge [1.25] which im not sure if they stack with each other. Enjoy
i got a roll that I think would be really good for boss dps.. rewind rounds/target lock. I tested it in a well of radiance and just kept on shooting.. i think it reloaded like three times before the damage phase ended in the blind well.. i put back up mag on it.. but if it came with appended/extended mag.. then a boss spec mod would go as well.. just shoot forever until you run out of ammo or the damage phase ends

@@flmdcfc123 yeah now that I dug into target lock a bit more, I'm seeing that.. rewind doesn't let targetlock reach the max
Edit: I'll keep it for now though until I get one (fourth times/target lock/extended mag) lol not asking for much.
Surrounded is also a solid perk and worth a closer look for different pairings.

a perk combo I haven't seen anyone mention is fourth times and target lock, I know machine guns aren't mainly built for single target dps but I'm curious about the capabilities of it compared to retrofit escapade.

IMO onslaught isn't worth it, unless it's primary ammo weapon, where ammo efficiency doesn't matter bc ammo is literally limitless, unlike with heavy. Rampage and adagio would 100% be the way to go for a double dmg perk combo.

For me. Void Titan, Actium War Rig, Destabilizing rounds and Killing tally. It's a machine gun made to clear rooms.
Rampage/Onslaught combo was removed from the original Breakneck. cant pull it out with that combo anymore so hammerhead is truly the only one with it now.
There isn't much difference in the mag from appended mag and extended. 6 rounds. If you use a backup mag, its just 2 rounds. Envious assasin is were you can get the most mag possible. If you are on hunter you can reload on the doge.

i have a onslaught/Rampage roll it wrecks everything. this weapon with this roll is made for gyrfalcon, it is so insane. tested it in legend onslaught+GM. killng tally+mag perk does not make sense to me if you have commemoration.

I think with Warlock using TRANSVERSIVE STEPS could dominate with Hammerhead cuz you don't even have to reload the weapon just sprint a little and bumm full ammo again and no reload or stove.
Wish it wasn't void but all good. Dark type like stasis been awesome
