  • Perfectionists, procrastinators, and high achievers all have THIS in common. When you get down to the bottom of it, we are all driven by the same thing, yet our coping mechanisms drive us differently.

Thank you for not procrastinating and making this video, because this was something I (and probably many other people too) really needed to hear.

I am binge watching your videos! I am so glad I found your channel and this video. I've seen tons of "how to overcome procrastination" videos. There were some points you've made that I have already heard from other youtubers before but yours is my favorite, very insightful yet concise and touched my anxious, perfectionist self lol. What you said about not being able to help thousands if you choose to procrastinate hands down made me think that that is your mindset as a youtuber. Right now, you may not be one of the biggest youtubers but you truly get the job done. I'm just one of the many thousands you're helping and I hope you just keep going. Thank you!

Thanks Alexis for your beautiful mind's insights. It was great that you pointed out the common factor between these 3 types of persons: procrastinators, perfectionists, high achievers. I never saw SHAME as an emotional fuel for these type of behaviors, but now it seems so obvious. I like the topic of how emotions drive our behaviors. Perhaps it could be an interesting twist for the channel a topic such as Shadow Work, Letting Go(surrender). I know it is mostly productivity topics, but I fimd fascinating how emotional work can make us more productive. I love the channel. This is just a possible idea that migjt be of interest. Best wishes to your awesome channel and your positive energy. God bless you.

I think I have a tendency as an INTJ to use my Ni to project into the future and try to account for all the moving parts and make a perfect plan. But that just causes me to either put off planning or spend copious amounts of time in that stage and never do anything, or when I do the plan fails/changes anyway
