That bow circle idea is interesting. One of the major problems in archery is the fact that bow information sheets only go so far and there is no way to test how a bow feels without buying it or being lucky enough for a friend to lend it to us. Even worse is traditional shooters as our group is small, and these bows are quite rare. I'm tempted to see how this goes, however, I would be worried about bow damage. I'm hesitant to receive/send out a bow with unknown history as bow failures can be very dangerous.

Those Kadys Bows look beautiful. Wish I can see more of them reviewed. I was thinking of their Khan model bow, but for a 53" it only draws 31" which worries me a little. Thanks for the reviews as always Armin!

The bow does not dictate the style of your shooting. It seems there were many different schools with different methods during this several centuries period... Maybe Armin or someone else around here knows more?
I still think the grozer is the way to go. There alot of experience built into that bow. Even though the other performs well enough once you shoot a biocomposite it's hard to compare to a laminated bow in my opinion. The only bows I've shot that come close to the biocomposite in terms of draw feeling and shooting experience are the hybrids from Indonesia. They feel alot alike in many aspects. There's a couple bowyers from there experimenting with biocomposite technology using fiberglass cores which seem real Interesting. Real horn real sinew fiberglass cores. Anyway great comparison as always my friend keep up the great work.

I always wondered, why do you continue shooting and testing arrows that are too light for a certain bow. What information is there to gain from this test? As no one is going to shoot arrows that feel like dry firing. So the speed test is kinda useless in that case. I don't have many bows, only two, but I like this idea of sharing bows. It's an interesting concept. 😁
@@ArminHirmer I understand that. I don't mean in this video in particular, I mean usually, when you do reviews. You shoot arrows that "feel like dry fyring", but you still do a speed test for them. Is this to test the range of the bow, or something else? I mean, you are the expert here, not me, that's why I'm asking 😂 I feel like it's useless to measure the speed of an arrow that is obviously too light for the bow. It hurts my soul to see a bow being almost dry fired 😂
The information you can get from a light arrow chronograph lets you test the efficiency of a bow. For example, suppose a bow shooting a minimum 9gpp measures 150 fps. That same bow shoots a 7gpp arrow at 150 fps. That would mean that the bow is working efficiently at it minimum poundage, as lighter arrows don't increase the speed of the bow. The minimum weight for the safety of the bow is also the weight where the bow will be the fastest it will ever be. Now imagine another bow shooting its minimum 9gpp also clocks out at 150 fps. However, a 7gpp arrow measures 160fps. That would mean that the bow is being "slowed down" at even its minimum arrow weight. The minimum arrow weight for structural integrity is already too heavy for the limbs to push, and it has to exert itself to even keep up. If that still doesn't make sense, imagine buying a "high-end" computer which overheats just idling (doing very little). You can already tell that playing video games or running intensive software will be even worse, because the computer can't even handle a minimum amount of stress.

Great Idea , Aussies like me might pay more in shipping , but at least we can try for ourselves rather than hope for the best ... and both nice bows , but I still haven't mastered my Alibow 'Qinghai' ... so I can't justify buying either of them.
