i love mum with a passion it marks an intense point in my life when i was 15 now 10 years ago. but me and my brother matt must have been absolutely the only people in birmingham alabama to listen to these guys. i used to do a lot of pirating and only happened upon a song accidentaly think its summer something or green grass if i remember anyway downloaded everything i could after that definitly a band i will not forget in my lifetime
this always reminds me of the old VHS tapes my grandparents would rent from the public library and we'd watch them and it would be happy times. Except those old videos weren't full of creepies. I think...
I agree it's a disturbing video, but the sounds on the track are quite odd too so I think it's quite fitting. It's a fantastically imginative video, and gets my thumbs up!
I'm not overreacting when i am saying that this is my favorite song ever!! You just have to learn to listen, just like breakcore. But the clip is pretty damn dark but it's owkey
I'm not familiar with the band, but I like this a lot. I don't really understand how people might think it's disturbing, though. To me it's more hypnotic, kind of like looking into a lava lamp.
(this is part four of a four-comment interpretation :D Read previous comments to understand) ...but the inevitable happens as the dancing couple's legs fall off and they are crumpled up, and the child's hand reaches out again to capture or even crush the butterfly, and feel this may be a symbol of the neverending cycle of man's ability to take the world and shape it to humanity's needs. Then again, that's just my interpretation! Maybe it's just about weird people bleeding horribly. :U
...they continually "repair" the earth, though it's difficult (the boy who colors the bird with rainbows and loses his teeth, showing the hard/physical work he's done) The bird spews flowers to help "fix" the earth, as well, showing that man and nature have come together to fix what previous generations have destroyed. Then the kid's hand releases butterflies to the world and the video then shows happy people waving and dancing...
...and are then destroyed either by their own hand or through others (the tearing apart, the ripping, etc.) Pain and suffering is depicted through this part as well, showing that nobody is really happy... further destruction of earth occurs with the squirrel and cat. But then the generation of TOMORROOOW is born with a kinder and gentler heart (the singing of the meh-mehs) and show it by repairing the cat's ripped neck and then "fixing" mother earth (the weird spewing and intake of leaves)...
this is the sadest attempt at electronic based music i have ever heard for god sakes me and my friend could easily do something like this and we are pretty bad (we suck)

This is indeed Awesome.
I see chipmunks in a whole new light.
this video seems like it would be really fun to watch while stoned.
Cette vidéo est géniale, mais au niveau de musique je préférais les Mum du fantastique album vert ("Finally we are no one").
increible

What a awesome and cruel video. Poor kitten. At least its head was stiched.
Interesting sound. How do you call it? Just experimental?

I'm sure this is the song playing in all the the Rugratz heads.
Panda Bear's wife used to be in Mum, but she left before this album was made. Panda Bear was never in it.
anyone notice that the video's four minutes and twenty seconds long? :P
What do I have to smoke to get this???
Do they have new singers now that Gyða and Kristín Anna Valtýsdóttir left the band... Why! Oh Why! Still great stuff...
creepy
IM completely creeped out.. its like a childhood nightmare watching this.
For me it all depends on if they actually explain why they don't like something. Can't speak for everyone though.
clangour and flutes perhaps? its just like it.
Well. I'm scared. xD
True data
@SantyMOD oh, lulz.
Cyriak?
Is that a cartoon?
@001snipe haha so the video isnt "too weird" for ya?! hmmm.

@PatootyBear I wouldn't watch this for 4/20 day though. Listen to it yes, but the video's a little too macabre in places
I'm scared..
