    "Sensational play by TAYLOR Seguin."........ wow, that goes to show you how fast Tyler Seguin exploded on to the scene, he made such a name for himself in this final. He was the star player for most of those 7 or 6(?) games

    I agree, it's eery how quickly people forget what a beast he was in the playoffs.

      not a fit for the bruins, he's got too much talent to be a 3rd line center

    • @RomanPierce46
      @RomanPierce46 10 років тому +3

      Brian Belknap Not a fit for the Bruins or not a fit for Claude Julien and Peter Chiarelli? Regardless of Thomas's amazing play in the 2011 playoffs, if not for Seguin's performance in this video, the Bruins lose to Tampa Bay in 6 games and there is no Cup in Boston...and that's a FACT!!! Chiarelli is a dope and Julien is too defensive to assimilate a goal scorer into his system...and That's a fact too!!

    • @brianbelknap2225
      @brianbelknap2225 10 років тому

      you have no idea how that series would have gone without seguin, so don't pretend to tell me "facts" they won a cup in 11 and went back in 13, but according to you they can't do anything right.

    • @RomanPierce46
      @RomanPierce46 10 років тому

      Brian Belknap Let's do the math here: Tampa Bay won Games 1, 4, and 6 in the 2011 ECF. If the Bruins lost Game 2 (which they would have if NOT FOR SEGUIN), then the Bruins would have lost in 6 GAMES based on what happened in THAT series. If anyone is pretending here, it is you. Don't drink the kool-aid: Chiarelli is a complete idiot, which is why the Bs are in their current situation of having nobody who can consistently put the puck in the net...AND Claude Julien's defensive system does not allow for pure goal scorers (Kessel, Seguin). Besides that, Seguin was NEVER a 3rd-line Center in Boston...he was a 2nd/3rd-line RW. Chiarelli has put this team in a position where they have no right-handed goal scorer to plug into 1st-line RW because he gift wrapped Seguin to Dallas. So please tell me why you think Chiarelli is good...

    • @brianbelknap2225
      @brianbelknap2225 10 років тому

      you can't go and assume that if game 2 goes to tampa bay that the rest of the series plays out exactly like it did, because there's no way it would have...i'm still not a seguin guy, and why you keep shoving your love for him down my throat i'll never know...but he won't sleep with you

    The goals were fantastic but that pass on the 4th goal in these highlights is what its all about. That is why everyone thought he'd be a star because of his insane speed and shot but his ability to make those passes too.

    Seguin was the highest scoring player in the league out of players who averaged under 17 minutes TOI/G and outscored players like Patrick Kane, Alex Ovechkin, Corey Perry and Rick Nash overall despite their significant advantage in TOI/G. I think it's safe to say with more maturity and ice time he's going to be an elite player in the NHL.

    @crazyclipsob Actually 3 goals and 3 assists in 2 games. He had a goal and an assist in game one. He was involved in all the Bruins goals in game one. 4 points in just over 5 minutes of ice time in game 2. Plus Seguin has a plus minus of +3. Who says he is a defensive liability. Just amazing!!!!! As of my writing this, Martin St.Louis of Tampa Bay is a - 6. Talk about a defensive liability.

    well +/- isn't much of an indication of defensive play... TB scores a lot of goals on the PP so it reflects negatively on the +/- when they give up an even strength goal.

    @bribrifry if you watched the games it was grinding and strength plays in front of the net that scored goals, thats how defensive teams score, not "potent" offensive teams. boston has a great defense, but they dont dominate the puck possessing skill game like offensive teams do at all.

    @bribrifry hardly endless, seguin doesnt have much offense around him at all, boston sucks at offense, the d is going to win games and he is going to help with the offensive problem and they are gonna be successful. but edmonton has so many good young playmakers and goalscorers with so much potential they are going to put up crazy numbers, they have so much offense they can trade a few of their young forwards for defense and still be an all star stacked-as-shit playoff team in the near future.
