Hi Lesa! The Balloon lights go dim pretty fast but then the tea lights do too- not much difference I think in that regard. I will keep buying them though. Hi Rachel, your kitchen turned out absolutely precious! I loved everything about it. Your gingerbread collection is amazing. The houses and trees, and the little gingerbread boy and girl is so cute. You just do an amazing job. I'm like you if my appliances don't match, as long as they work that's all I need. As for cookies, it's what ever the children or grandchildren want...peanut blossoms, snowballs, crescent, thumbprint or this year my granddaughter wants a chocolate peppermint cookie. Then one more cookie and a big batch of fudge. I do enjoy baking so I love it. Yes Rachel your kitty looked familiar, she's so pretty. I enjoy cats also. We still have to cut cost in every way because we are a little older and are on a fixed income. We have each other and our children and grandchildren so we are rich in many ways. His parents were not like mine. My parents were always doing projects and remodeling and changing things. His parents were the opposite. 😁 But that's okay. To each their own. I think the AT Home Store had that same gingerbread house last year (or very similar) for about twice the price. So while it cost a bit at Hobby Lobby, for the size I talked myself into it. But originally, (because of budget reasons) I had no plans to buy an additional house this year. 😉 Hobby Lobby sometimes has a few gingerbread items left after Christmas at the 75 percent off. If you're looking for a steal, maybe you could snag some then for next year. Have a lovely day! 😊

I'm going to keep buying them but just like the tea lights, they go dim fairly soon. Comparable to the tea lights though in my experience. They work well in the small ceramic houses that can't fit a tea light and I keep finding more ways to use them. My kitty is cute but has the personality of a fish - mostly ignores us. 😜 Hopefully she grows a personality. Yes that m and m thing freaked me out one day. I grabbed that jar and was sitting on the couch and eating them like a pig. Lol. And then I flipped it around and said, "Oh no I ate all that! We have a Marshall's here in my area as well as a Home Goods, we don't have TJ Maxx close by though. I've never heard of Gooseberry Patch cookbooks, I'll keep an eye out for them in the thrifts. My 'must make' cookie is a family recipe, other people call them pinwheel cookies but we call them cinnamon roll cookies because they roll up and cook like a log and then they get cut in 1 inch rolls. They're so easy and so delicious! Great video! Your kitchen looks great!

I would totally start decorating my kitchen with gingerbread if I could, but I might do a fall home tour yet. Honestly though- I'd rather just jump right in and start on Christmas. I am going to order those little lights you bought! How perfect to use in place of tea lights!!! Also, I couldn't wrap my brain around that Christmas tree with the M&M's. LOL..... Your open shelves turned out perfect! Love your new inside kitty addition! Ours are both inside and outside which seems to work out nice! :)
I'm going to keep buying them but just like the tea lights, they go dim fairly soon. Comparable to the tea lights though in my experience. They work well in the small ceramic houses that can't fit a tea light and I keep finding more ways to use them. My kitty is cute but has the personality of a fish - mostly ignores us. 😜 Hopefully she grows a personality. Yes that m and m thing freaked me out one day. I grabbed that jar and was sitting on the couch and eating them like a pig. Lol. And then I flipped it around and said, "Oh no I ate all that! " And then my daughter came over, flipped it back the other way and said " No no. It's not that bad mom. See." 🤣 Thanks for watching sweet T! Your family is in my thoughts and prayers! 💕🙏🎄❤️
We have a Marshall's here in my area as well as a Home Goods, we don't have TJ Maxx close by though. I've never heard of Gooseberry Patch cookbooks, I'll keep an eye out for them in the thrifts. My 'must make' cookie is a family recipe, other people call them pinwheel cookies but we call them cinnamon roll cookies because they roll up and cook like a log and then they get cut in 1 inch rolls. They're so easy and so delicious! Great video! Your kitchen looks great!

And I'm pretty sure that both white scalloped risers were thrift finds. I'm so sorry that I'm not being more helpful to you. I wish I knew off hand of some similar pieces to link for you.
