About Royal Blood
Brighton duo Royal Blood comprising drummer Ben Thatcher and bassist/vocalist Mike Kerr formed at the beginning of 2013. They quickly made their presence known, with pounding drums and heavily distorted bass guitar defining characteristics of their ferocious blues-rock sound. The band gained many plaudits early in their career, touring with the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Iggy Pop and Foo Fighters, before going on to win Best British Group at the Brits in 2015 receiving their trophy from their musical hero and admirer Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page.
Their catalogue boasts the Mercury Prize nominated self-titled debut album released in 2014 that spawned hits such as "Out of the Black, "Little Monster:, "Come On Over" and "Figure it Out", as well as their second successive UK number one album "How Did We Get So Dark?" released in 2017 which featured "Lights Out" and "I Only Lie When I Love You".

Actually, he's running a bass guitar through three different amps and a shit tonne of effects pedals. One amp provides the bass tone, whilst the other two simulate a "fake" guitar tone using a POG Harmoniser pedal which effectively shifts the pitch of the bass guitar up a few octaves to give it the guitar sound. I imagine he uses regular bass strings though

Usually when I go to a concert the opening band is typically nothing to rave about but when I saw these guys open up for the Foo Fighters I was blown away. Definitely extremely happy that we have a great band coming up the tubes even in 2015
I literally heard this last night for the first time and fell in love with it. I checked out the rest of the album and have just downloaded it from iTunes. Boys, you've officially become one of my favourite bands in less than 24 hours. Nicely done.

By far one of the best live bands I've seen in years
This is my fave track off of the album. Its heavy as hell but also has really catchy lyrics and a riff that Black Sabbath/muse etc would be proud of. Best band in the uk at present.
The first song I ever heard by these guys was Little Monster and I was INSTANTLY hooked.
Here because I randomly found them on UA-cam. I am now a fan!
