We loved Republic of Ireland and you’re so right it’s great to get off the ‘tourist routes’ and see other areas. We were so astounded at how well maintained the roads, churches and houses were. We drove through Carrick on Shannon to go to the supermarket and wish we’d stayed over as it is a lovely area. Thanks so much for allowing us to share your travels - we can’t wait to book our return trip 😊☘️🇮🇪

We spend alot of time exploring the WAW but also love Letrim... Parke’s Castle on Lough Gill, Glencar Waterfall or a nice cold creamy pint of guinness in Anderson’s Thatch Pub, the list goes on.

Love your Irish adventures , if you get a chance you must visit the Burren Co.Clare. It contains very rare plants and wildlife that is not seen anywhere else. JR TOILKEN spent a lot of summers visiting the Burren and a lot of people believe that's where he got the idea for middle earth and also Oliver Cromwell once said there was not enough tress to hang a man , not enough water to drown a man and not enough clay to bury a man when he marched through the Burren. Was going to suggest you went to Andersons. I hope you had an amazing night Gene is a legend. I'm from UK but live over here now between a narrowboat & a campervan so know Leitrim & Carrick very well. I assume you know you can park at most waterways harbours & use the facilities (buy a waterways card from local shops eg electric bike shop in Leitrim sells them to use showers - toilets & elsan free). Also when you walk along the metal walkway at Carrick there's some like metal sculptures & when the wind blows they kid of hum/whistle a tune so cool. Loving your very positive portrayal of Ireland it's an amazing country. If you need any recommendations just ask 🙂

The Joseph plunket memorial is a man of that name he was an Irish poet and journalist he was executed in kilmainham jail there’s a song called Grace a beautiful love story. You have to visit kilmainham jail in Dublin a massive tourist attraction. 😊

Quick mobile tip gang, when purchasing mobile sims in Ireland if unlimited data is not included in the monthly walk away. Everyone here has unlimited data now as part of their monthly plans be it home or mobile.

Glad your having a great trip, well produced vid. Sorry Leitrim is just not in the same league as the coastal scenery on offer at Sligo, Mayo, Galway, Clare, Kerry, West Cork. Loop Head, Cliffs of Moher, The Skelligs, Bear Island, Mizen Head, Kinsale, etc. Carrick became Ireland's main Stagg and Hen party town so not good for families due the noise and anti social behaviour at night.

@@JPLamoureuxsTravels Enjoy. My brother and sister in-law go 'wild camping' all around Ireland. Some of the scenic beauty spots they find are so far out of the way and beautifully desolate. There is a tiny lane that brings you to the cliff edge not far from the light house near the entrance to Dingle natural harbour, no facilities and turning is a challenge, but that's why they likes those sort of out of the way isolated places. Brave, adventurous and daring.
