great video I got SF Essentials, but right now I'm comparing to FreshSales and FS has a low of really good features at lower price point... I am a CPA so mainly am using it for the CRM capabilities, I like Freshsales better when looking at calendar events and tasks etc they are easier to see and read past events... But do think some basic functionality in SF is better than FS like just plain Syncing between Outlook and SF seems excellent so far and FS seems to drop the sync connection and I have to delete it and re-set it several times in 2 months... Anyhow both products are very good, but SF should get their Mobile app improved, since you have to use a separate app for email and then their main mobile app for SF contacts, appointments and tasks... and FS mobile app seems much better since it has all functionality in one app.
I totally agree that Salesforce is awesome out of the box and keeps the feature set running a lot smoother than competitors platforms. I think that's one of the main benefits. Plus these days I work on the same platform for all my clients so that I can provide the best value and easiest fix for their situation.
Hi Brad, I'm in the process of evaluating SF Essentials vs Professional & your video is spot on! One question - My sales rep is HEAVILY recommending we purchase Professional and is giving us good price discount, no surprise there. My question is that he makes the point that if we purchase Essentials then later migrate we won't be able to get such a great deal. I hate this type of hard sell, what do you think? Also you mention Mailchimp - we will be using some form of email campaign but we will be working with small lists (
Tracy Spates I think the discount is a valid point, if you think you’ll grow into it, but it’s hard to make a blanket statement. Also, i know that other people have gotten discounts upon upgrading, so not a fan of that tactic either. As far as email lists and Mailchimp I’d say it’s a good platform, but again there are many considerations when integrating the systems. It really comes down to your comfort of the platforms.
