Thanks for the video, if you wanted to make the complete part what other strategies would you use? I cut many 3D moulds like this but always find I have to run a separate 2d file after to cut out the part. Is that the best way to do it. I use boundary to select the 3D form I want to cut the 2d cut the lowest curves after projecting fro 3D to 2d.
It depends. Each part is different and every way can be good. The final result counts. When machining 3D solids, I often use 2D machining strategies and 2D geometry.
