front desk staff (man) who can speak English very bad manner also discriminate foreign tourists! They also think they could speak English and above other staff. They would allocate bad room to tourists (small or bad view) to foreign tourist. You better check the room map that is hanged next to the front desk before agreed with the room but anyway the English speaking staff would tell you better room are all allocated But not the case! Catering staff is good but food quality deteriorated a lot in the last few months and room rates increased substantially. Have a steep walkway to the hotel entrance but front desk staff refused to help or offer trolley where other Japanese hot springs hotel staff definitely would help! Very not recommended to foreign tourists
