Kristin, gosh I think you deserve to react to this young talent, Angelina Jordan. The problem is I am having a difficult time deciding which song to suggest. She has covers on UA-cam, which have been viewed billions of times across various platforms. She is currently 14 years old, but won Norway’s Got Talent (singing songs of Billie Holiday, Nancy Sinatra and George Gershwin) when she was just 7 years old. Yes! Seven! This is Bohemian Rhapsody, which she performed on AGT Champions, season 2, which aired this past January 6. She was 13, turning 14 just after the show. I am trying to keep this short, lol, but I know you won't be disappointed.
Morgan James is the blonde with the powerful voice. You should hear her version with Post Modern Jukebox doing "Dream On".
Haley Reinhart is my favorite female voice ever. If you dig into her catalog you will be blown away. Whether its her Post Modern Jukebox songs ( HABITS, CREEP, BLACK HOLE SON, SEVEN NATION ARMY, OOPS I DID IT AGAIN, and MAD WORLD.), any of her covers with Casey Abrams, her song with Jeff Goldbloom and his orchestra. Or any of her original music. You could definitely fall down a Haley Rabbit hole and you may never want to come out.

This is such a cool way to start the PMJ rabbit hole journey. Their renditions of Creep and Seven Nations Army with Haley's vocals are amazing. Morgan James covering Maps and Dream On is phenomenal.

Hailey and Casey were on early seasons of American Idol and I would love to see them back along with Scott Bradlee for an episode where the contestants perform versions of songs he's created over the years.
A pajama party with those three would just be one of the absolute bestest things ever.

PMJ is a loose collective of performers. The piano player Scott Bradlee is the real constant. He creates the arrangements. The early videos were shot in his apartment. Now they're shot in his home that was purchased from an old Hollywood producer. He started out in NYC and moved to Los Angeles, which opened the door to new talent like Haley and Casey. This was the first cast to tour Europe and the USA. It was probably the best ever and for that first tour tickets in the US were only $25. Now they're quite a bit more.
They are great, Haley Reinhart is my fave. Listen to their version of Creep.
The first bass player that starts off and the first singer were on American Idol together. They ended up becoming a couple in real life. Casey Abraham and Haily Reinhardt

This 72 year old is a bit late to the party, I just discovered your channel...a bit of info that I know, Haley, first singer, was a former contestant on American Idol with the bass player, Casey Abrams, with the man bun, and 2nd singer Morgan is just amazing and the 3rd singer, Adriana Zavala is the daughter of the famous actor of tv and Movies, Telly Zavalas..thank you for loving PMJ, I believe Mr.PMJ, Scott Bradlee is playing the piano a lot in these videos..he started it all..

Hi Kristin, I was overjoyed to see and hear your reaction to PMJ's version of this song. Scott Bradlee is a genius. The musicians and talent he hires are all very good. If you haven't already, check out their version of Bad Romance with some incredible tap dancing. I am a musician(part-time) and can more than appreciate this as I have worked with many talented musicians over the decades. Keep finding the talent and musical gems to lift us up in these terrible times(politically speaking). Best, Greg
At the start, the bass player is Casey Abraham. He was a top 10 singer on American Idol 7 or 8 years ago. The first singer is Haily Reinhardt, who finished 3rd on that same season of American Idol. Her and Casey became a couple on that show and started performing together all around the country after American Idol. As far as I know they are still partners.

I don't know what you mean by saying that Haley and Casey are a couple. Musical chemistry absolutely great - righrt back to thon great duet Moanin' om American Idol. However, no romance between them unless things have recently changed. Just as well. They're much less likely to fall out! 😁😁😁

About the third time through I noticed you asked about the instrument. A cello is smaller and is played with a bow. This is an upright bass.

Haley (middle) Morgan (right) and Ariana (left) are all incredible singers, and so is that Bass player Casey, they all did truly great songs with PMJ.
Each of them are more than worthy to check out in videos of their own, you wont regret it one bit.
I'm not going to add suggestions because there will be PLENTY of suggestions given by others, and each will be worth your time.
PMJ has the ability to make mediocre songs good, good songs great and great songs become masterpieces, they are all incredibly talented.
And it's the band leader Scott who makes all these new arrangements for the songs they play, he's a master at t to say the least.

First lady is Haley Reinhart, great voice and I love her sexy little growl. Second singer is Morgan James, a graduate from Julliard for opera. Fantastic and powerful voice! Third lady is Ariana Savalas. Very nice voice as well, and if you're an old timer like me, you'll know her father was Kojak in the TV series. Because of this song, I looked up each of these ladies and now am a fan of them all.
I came across this cover of All About That Base randomly in 2017. While I was listening to Haley (whom I didn't really know about other than hearing how she got screwed in American Idol), I couldn't take my eyes of "that blonde". When she started her solo part, "I'm bringing booooooty baaack", my jaw dropped! I fell instantly in love - her looks are nice, but that VOICE!!! As soon as the song was over, I found her name and searched for everything I could for Morgan James. I listened to her everyday for two years straight - no exaggeration. Often only her, nobody else. On my way to work, while at work and on the way home.

It's a travel bass. Made to be more compact and the neck might fold down as well. They filmed both this and "Creep" on a day off during their first European tour. Both are remakes of songs PMJ recorded previously. Now they are the two most-viewed videos on their channel (and they've recorded a video a week for years).

PMJ is famous for taking a current song, and making it retro, a reverse update, if you will.
I discovered Haley Reinhardt with PMJ's version of Radioheads Creep, which I found a bit depressing. Haley turns it around and doesn't sing it, she performs it.
Shes shows her chops on another PMJ arrangement on Brittany Spears "Oops, I did it Again ( a god awful song) with a campy Marilyn Monroe style.
My favorite are the two versions of "I don't know how to love you", the original video and the one with with full orchestra. She amazing.
Then there's Morgan James, equally as talented, and as good as any female vocalist you'll find today.
