The race doesn't change you, the journey to the start line does..
That is facts. I found my first couple races a let down until I realised it was the journey to toe the line that mattered.
this video is a real masterclass!
Story-telling, shooting, editing, music, etc., it's incredible!
+1 sub

I will we doing my first 70.3 trithlon this year. This one of of the best video i have watched till date on youtube. You showed very details on the struggle and the wonderful feeling of finishing the event. This was really motivating. Thank You.
Awesome video! I did my first triathlon yesterday (sprint distance) and I'm hooked! This sport really teaches you to let go of what you think is impossible.
I am watching this now with 8 weeks to train for my first 70.3 and am deeply motivated, really think this is my favorite triathlon video out on UA-cam. I hope that your plan to complete the full is still forthcoming and cannot wait to see you crush the sub-12 barrier! Thanks for the inspiration, will do my best to act with energy!
Amazing video, dude. Got really emotional. Congrats on achieving this milestone! Thanks for sharing!
"At the end of pain is success. Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or even a year, but eventually it will subside. And something else will take its place. If I quit however, it will last forever." - Ray Lewis.
I find that quote helpful when I feel like quitting or backing off on an effort. Great work on your race!!
This is amazing! I watch this pretty much every morning. Every time I watch this I feel the same how I’m gonna finish and feel my first Ironman 70.3. This is a masterpiece and this is my motivation for every day to convince myself that I got this. ❤️

Loved it, thanks for this!
What a great video. Thank you for sharing your story and journey. 7 of us traveled this year to Hawaii 70.3 as our first Half. Your 'half day in hell' comment really summed up the race conditions, but boy-oh-boy it was gorgeous. We enjoyed seeing the course again. Best wishes in your continued racing.
No way you did the Hawaii 70.3, that's so awesome! It wasn't an easy race at all but so worth it when you look back at the landscape. Glad I could relieve some nostalgia! Thank you so much for your comment, it's appreciated! ☺️
Thank you so much for this video! 💙🙌🏾 I love it 🔋⚡️🌿
Such an inspiring video, loved it❤
one of the best vids ive ever watched
Thank you so much! I'm looking for to sign up for Olympic distance triathlon and you made me believe that I can! I completed my first marathon, and swimming race. Now target is triathlon. Energy follows action, period!
I did this race in June 2023, it really is a fantastic race. The swim is like an aquarium, the bike is on the famous course and the run is soooooo hot (but that makes it special)
awesome video man!!

This is an awesome video! The whole time I was wondering how you got the shots during the race! THose are awesome!
Bro, completely insane vid and crazy journey! It's FUCKING inspiring! GG mon Chuck
Nice work, Chuck. At your baseline level of fitness I'm not surprised you were able to train in 8 weeks. But still great, hard work.
Awesome video!!!!!
Congratulations!
Freaking awesome video bro!
Awesome shooting and camera angles, i thought you had around 100k subs, wow

Great video man stoked to see how it came together after you told me about it 🙏
Very cool. Doing my 2nd triathlon this weekend, and watching videos for motivation.
nice! keep humble!!
This video came at the perfect timing. Competing in next week’s Memphis Half Ironman. It will be my first race, regardless of event/sport. I can’t wait!!
Tres interessant! Tiens-nous au courant de ton full sub-12h!
Congrats! That's not an easy one for sure! It was my first 70.3 in 2018.. and the "run" was brutal for me!! But got it done (barely).. Completed two more 70.3's since then with significantly improved times in each.. (3 other attempts in between those.. 1 cancelled during due to storm 2/3's through, 2 postponements shortly before events due to Covid) .. Good luck with your full IM!
Damnnn that's crazy!! The run is definitely the hardest part! Glad to hear that you're still competing and I hope for the best for your other events. The full IM will not be easy that's for sure! Thank you David, I appreciated you! 👊
Great racing!
Did my first 70.3 at home, self-supported, pancake-flat course on last sunday.
It doesn't compare in any way, completely different contiditions.
The amazing result:
The last 4 kms were absolute agony. Muscled through even though I was cramping. But I did it sub 5. I finished at 4:59:10.
Have my next coming up in 1,5 weeks. 1600m of elevation. 5h is unrealistic there for me. But I now have the confidence that I can make it in a great time. :)
@@DS-uo1zy heyyy thanks for asking! It was awesome yet horrible. The run had 260m of elevation in it, I absolutely suffered uphill and had to walk when elevation kicked over 10%. We had a 4-way battle to the finish on the last km, came in second of this group. When I crossed the line I couldn't walk anymore. Gave it everything. Because I lost 4 extra minutes in transition due to a mechanical I barely missed top 25%, so that sucked. But would I do it again? I will, next year.
My time: 5:20:21.
Love the video! I'm currently coming back from an ankle injury and I'm planning to do the steps to be able to do an IRONMAN! I was wondering, how did you organize and shoot the video, did you speak to the 70.3 IRONMAN team to get a permission, did you booked a video production team, or how did you do that? Keep it up with the videos, you are motivating as hell!
Excellent video
1400 subs with the production value of a massive channel? sick
I just started my fitness journey after years. I'm currently 83kg and very overweight. I can run barely 5km and swim maybe a 1k. Planning to do my first 70.3 next year! we don't give up
@@emanuelc1025 life got in the way and I'm taking things slow but I'm running a half marathon this year and a full next year.
Wow that was something!!!
sensational
YEAH CHUCK
Amazing performance
great video
very inspiring
incredible
Hi! This video really motivated me for doing the same, but could you show a sub times for swimmin, biking and running at this event? How was your speed at bike? I'm really curious about that because i've got the same target. Break 6h at half IM. Gretting from Poland !
Energy Follows Action.
I feel the more I’m doing, the more I want to achieve. If you set your mind to something, I truly believe you can reach that goal.
I hope I inspired you to sign up for your first triathlon.
Let me know what’s your next challenge below! 👇
great video thanks for the motivation!!
Chuck that was incredible to watch. Well done on the sub 6. I'm doing my first 70.3 on 23 September and this video really brings out what we go through to get over that finish line! A great motivational video to keep pushing and keep fighting
