If a man wants you to be his woman he has the right to question your past. For the simple fact that your past will walk in the room when he walks in the room and you don’t want people laughing at your man because of you
He is not a man nor eligible to partner with me if he 1. validates himself through the opinions of other human beings and 2. is not a presence all on his own. If his past is embarrassing, it is just as much a reflection of his woman’s poor values, principles, judgement and testament to her own self worth. So this whole position is just weak.

However, other so called respectable people are still imperfect humans who shouldn’t have any capacity to validate you, especially a full blown adult.
