Brief History of the Desert Archaic People and Petroglyphs:
It is not entirely clear why the Desert Archaic people carved petroglyphs and painted pictographs. There are several theories that have been proposed by scholars and researchers.
One theory is that these carvings and paintings were used for religious or spiritual purposes. The Desert Archaic people may have used these images as a way to connect with the spirit world or to communicate with the gods. Petroglyphs and pictographs might have been used in rituals or ceremonies to bring about rain, to give thanks for a bountiful harvest, or to mark important events. During the Great Drought's first two millennia, the Desert Archaic people lived a nomadic lifestyle in small groups, searching for food, materials, fuel, and water. They carried their belongings on their backs and lived in rough shelters or caves, dressing in tanned animal skins and woven plant fibers. They moved with the seasons, returning to familiar areas for plant harvesting and hunting. They relied on a variety of tools for gathering plants and hunting, including sharpened stone, bone, and wooden tools for cutting and digging, baskets for carrying, and plant fiber string for binding and hauling. In camp, they cooked food over fires and wove plant fibers into baskets and clothing. As they left campsites, they left little behind, as their nomadic lifestyle did not allow for the accumulation of material wealth or a marked social hierarchy.
The Desert Archaic people were skilled at adapting to their harsh desert environment. They moved with the changing seasons, following the ripening of wild plants and the migration of game animals. They used a variety of tools and techniques to gather plants, hunt, and process food. Their nomadic lifestyle prevented the accumulation of material wealth and the development of social hierarchy.
Despite the challenges of their environment, the Desert Archaic people were able to sustain themselves through their knowledge of the land and their resourcefulness. They had a deep understanding of the plants and animals that lived in their area, and they used this knowledge to survive. They also used fire to cook food and create warmth, and they wove plant fibers into baskets and clothing to carry and protect themselves.

If that 1757 date is correct, the fact that people saw those petroglyphs and pictographs way back then for some reason just blows my mind. Thanks so much once again for exploring for us. I don't know if you noticed it or not. But the shelf with the pictographs and pioneer graffiti there is also soot markings trailing out from that area. Like someone has lived there. And also,I would definitely fly there to take a guided hike by you! Make it happen!

Very mysterious area. Another mind blowing place to see is Park Ave Trail, Arches National Park.
That ledge carving was definitely done after the slab slipped down. The carver stood where you stood.

Pretty interesting. When you step out of the accepted historical account we've been taught, which really doesn't make much sense, given the evidence, things become clearer. The big question for me is why is there such a strong effort to keep people from learning the true history of this continent, and even the entire world? Who benefits by keeping people ignorant?

SO , been minute , but the carvings you call necklaces, the giant were carnivorous / cannibals, and to me they look like a row of teeth, even mabe the correct number of teeth, maybe it was a warning that the giants in the area would eat you. Keep up the research.

The land scape looks like it's been burned extensively, it's been scorched. Destroyed. This scratchings are post flood I'd say, they would have to be. The artists skill at carving leaves something to be desired. That could indicate a loss in knowledge that was relearned somewhat with today's tech.
