    I prefer mid caps 20-60$, easy to borrow, 1 penny spread, more predictable, good range when they are in play, less risk, cheaper commissions if you pay per share..

      Nothing wrong with that. To each their own.

      Agreed. I like large caps stocks 130-180$ for the exact same reasons you listed. More recognizable patterns, large range, a lot of volume, and lots of news on large companies. Very good catalyst to help shape the direction of which the stock is heading to for the day.

      @@PB0Y1834 how do you typically screen for large caps. I use tradeideas to find good pennies, but struggle to find good large caps to trade.

    Another amazing video with practical insight. The major problem with small caps is controlling the emotions. They can slam the best of us into a mind freeze state and an account drain hard to recover from. Having said that, large caps are more difficult as they can slowly bleed you, especially with commissions. There is no right answer only because every personality is different! Comfort level is paramount in this process. You want consistency, and to not move TOO FAST! Keep it small no matter what you trade, until you gain consistency. Consistency is everything.

      Don't listen to alfred, keep practicing in the sim until it's second nature. Because when you go live it's a lot harder because of not being filled, slippage. That's not even mentioning the emotional part which is half the battle. My suggestion would be to practice in the sim until you are consistent for at least 3 months. Than you go live with small shares sizes once you are consistently green you bump your share size up.

    I enjoy your walk and talk videos. I was wondering, do you go all in with your small account trades until it is over 25K.

    • @DaytradeWarrior
      @DaytradeWarrior  4 роки тому +1

      With my small account, I was risking 10% of my account per trade. This is not recommended for beginner traders. Instead, it should be limited to 1%.

    You can trade options on large caps with faction of the coast and get over there pdt where funds clear the next day

    Ross, I watch your videos whenever you pump one out I am subscribed, but I don't think I've ever seen a video on why it it dangerous to stay in a 3 times ETF like JNUG for long term, every video I see is vague on this, I hope I'm not going to get killed in taxes when it finally gets back to where I bought it at $7.10 on March 25th 2020 plus I here there are fees, what kind of fees besides the maintenance fee of 1%? I see it is moving to the upside should I rush and sell at cost or is it mostly hype about all the fees holding for over a week, Please respond ! Thank you and I love your positive energy !

    • @DaytradeWarrior
      @DaytradeWarrior  4 роки тому +1

      Hey Bret! Thanks for the comment! JNUG, and other ETF's, are just tricky cause of the risk that they drop. Saving on taxes won't help if the stock drops imo.

    What's your opinion on OTM options on large cap stocks rather than trading the stock itself? You don't need as much capital but still have the opportunity for large gains.

    • @DaytradeWarrior
      @DaytradeWarrior  4 роки тому +1

      I'm more comfortable with trading the stock itself, however, there's opportunity in both for sure.

    I disagree on this viewpoint simply because 1. Large caps are much more liquid and you don’t get killed by the bid-ask spreads, 2. Large caps aren’t going to dump out on you if a big time seller gets rid of his whole position. 3. They trade more consistently, 4. You can make just as much percentage gains on large caps as small caps if you trade options and options are cheaper than the shares of the large caps in most cases as well so you don’t actually need that much money to trade them. Again this is just my opinion and obviously I respect Ross as his strategy clearly works for him and he has been very successful I just wanted to point out that there are other ways to consider

      Kaleb, I appreciate your point of view. I have a question for you. Would you use the viewpoint you outlined if you had only a $1,000 cash account, just getting started in trading?

    • @kalebc2134
      @kalebc2134 4 роки тому

      Alan Martin applemac3 personally I still like this strategy even with a smaller account because you can still hit big percentage gains with less than 1000 on certain large caps. For example, you can usually get contracts for AMD at less than 50 dollars per contract. Say you want to risk 20% of your capital on the trade and you have 1000 dollars, you could buy AMD call or put contracts and make very good percentages during a day, depending on the move it can even get up to 100% or more though usually 15-40% is what you would be aiming for. Another good thing is if you think the contract price is too expensive at a certain strike price, you can always buy a contract at a cheaper strike. Calls and puts have a ton of flexibility

    Hey Ross, i have a question if you have a moment. Because i think i'm missing something. So i know to set limit orders for all orders, and also to offset them, but when buying orders sometimes you get partially filled even with offset. Which is Ok because at least you get partial fill on the buy, but when selling why would you use a limit instead of a market order. Would it not be taking large risk of a partial sell on a declining stock (even with offset) forcing you to keep some position until the cancel and repeat of another limit order at a lower price? When you go to sell your final position whats the benefit of putting in a limit order? i feel like its just taking an unnecessary chance of getting stuck with the bag for the drop when you could do market order to ensure you get out of the position at least highest price possible. what are your thoughts?

      Warrior Trading , but wouldn’t a market order just do that automatically mitigating risk?
