Joe Bonamassa, You are undeniably one of the greatest guitarists, of any genre, who has ever lived, and your voice is truly for the Blues, but, Joe, you sang "The Rose" here beautifully! For me, it was profoundly spine-chilling and soul-stirring. Man, that was just some incredible singing of that song. The musicians surrounding you are superb, and at your level with their respective instrument...it was just astounding listening to this. Thank you all so much!

What an excellent group of musicians! I watched the whole show, and I gotta say, Wow!! Joe is awesome at playing and singing, and also at picking excellent accompanying musicians. Everyone on that stage is world class. That said, is there anything Dude to the left of Joe does not play?

My husband received his draft papers in 1968 when he was only a few months away from his 25th birthday. We had already been married for over a year. The war was in full steam at that time. He went to the Army recruiting office to see what he could expect, and while there, the Navy recruiter convinced him to join the Navy. Spent 6 years in the Navy. And as a Navy wife, my life was forever changed, too. We were very happy to eventually return to civilian life, but we wouldn’t give up that military experience for anything. Lucky for us, he did not serve in Vietnam, as his job was in electronics and communication, not boots on the ground, but we did live overseas for several years. We very much respected those who put their lives on the line everyday and did what they had to do whether they agreed with the war or not. So many didn’t return. I’m glad people have begun to appreciate our Vietnam veterans. Thank you for your service!
Michael Morrison … When I first read your comment here some time ago, it brought tears to my eyes..…and when I read it to my husband and showed him my reply, we were immediately catapulted into the past together, however briefly. Brought back so many memories, both good and bad. Those were contentious and tumultuous times. The Vietnam war was such an incredibly unpopular war that tore the country apart, yet people had to participate when Uncle Sam called, whether they liked it or not. But life goes on regardless. Your comment still moves me so much.
