Fellow Pennsylvanian here. I use automotive lasso straps when I tow my Teryx 4 and I highly recommended it. Quick, easy and very secure. Been using them for a couple years now never had any issues
Good job on the video, looking forward to the sheeve & Weller re-flash tests. Since I put on 14-10-28'' tires I lost a little low end on my X2. Top end around 53 mph on gps. Love the X2 so far. BTW belt still looks new with 3,400 miles on it.
Project xXx please keep the videos coming looking to to a four seater sxs and trying to decide with would be best for us as a family really leaning to the x4
I don't know why more people don't put an emphasis on mpg. I have ridden bikes and quads through my life but mostly country private property for the off road toys. Recently I got back into quads with friends who ride public trails. While my new to me '16 rancher 420 is not a wheelie monster like my friends brute force I found that we were constantly having to plan our trail course based on his fuel. He would be down below half a tank while I might have lost one bar on the gauge and could still clearly see I had a practically full tank. My wifes '06 foreman 500 was a little lower than mine but not by much. We had brought rotopax cans and never touched them the whole day. I feel like some of this is due to being able to shift to a higher gear and hold it instead of the cvt of the other quads always being at a higher rpm. Which makes me wonder if the same holds true on the honda SxS vs competition.
Also if you think about it you should do a decibel test at idle and at standard cruising speed with stock exhaust on the units you test. Some are going to prefer a quieter engine/exhaust combo.
T Sep65 stock ecu with sheaves for this round but then will be doing the Weller reflash and finally a full exhaust shootout between the HMF and big gun
I have an x2 and overall i love it out in the woods. But i will say it would benefit from some clutch work to get quicker engagement. Also i hate the engine brake, several times it has tried to 180° kill me when coming down steep hills when in low gear.
Now that you’ve had the X4 for awhile, how do you like it compared to the Pioneer 1000-5? I test rode both and liked the X4 better for seating comfort and steering, but the power was lackluster compared to the Pioneer.
The X4 is a little down on power compared to the P1k but after a year of having the X4 the only time you notice it is in a straight line. In the woods and on the trails it’s hard to tell a difference. On average I can actually rip the X4 faster than I could the P1k cause the X4 is smaller and more nimble so it handles better. Taking in all the factors of both machines the slight power increase the P1k has is not enough to make me wish I still had it. Plus with the performance sheaves I’m in the middle of testing and reviewing for the X4 the power difference is now non existent!
This is going to make me seem like a huge dork, but oh well, as far as a project name you could call it Logan after the X-Men character Wolverine or you could call it X-Force, which Wolverine was a part of in the comics.
I know you have had both the Honda pioneer 1000-5 and now the Yamaha x4, my question is what one is more quiet? I can't decide what one to get. I want quiet and comfort. Please help thank you .
Andy Cash comfort is a win for the X4 by far unless you are of a bigger size. Some find it difficult to get in and out of the X4 due to the way the door latch is set up but I quickly found the trick and within a half a dozen time getting in and out I don’t even think about it anymore. The rear seat are no competition, the flip up seats in the pioneers bed, although very innovative and allows full dump bed use, are not comfy for anyone, even small children. Noise is harder to pick because they are both very quiet machines and right on par. I think the X4 is quieter other’s say the pioneer is quieter so that tells me it’s too close to call...lol. One other thing to consider though, and the main reason I got rid of mine, is the amount of heat that comes up through the pioneer. It made the middle bars hot enough my wife nearly burned her hand. We got the X4 right after that happened before the same thing happened to my kids. Hope this helps.
That’s the nice thing with the draggy is that it gives you the slope of what your running on. I’ll make sure to show that in the next vids so every knows it’s level. The draggy also will not consider it a verified run if there is too much slope.
Great video, thanks for taking the time to do this for all of us Wolverine X model owners.
Im glad to see you got some extra help this episode. Must make things easier
As an X4 owner, enjoying the videos, keep it up Jason.
Thanks! I have lots planned for the channel....now I just need 36hr days to get stuff done I want to do😂

Man cant wait for the sheave videos!!! I'm about to pull the trigger on one and this test may help determine it!

Most interested in the Weller Flash... clutch work is far too dependent on tire size and weight imo.
belt gets warmer with repeated fast starts, engine braking is clutch weights and secondary spring

spyder000069 i go by miles per tank. How far i can go before turning back.

Put a dual 3-inch exhaust will the series 10 flowmaster and 6 inch tips that's what I have on my 1990 Chevy and it sounds good
Great idea running both sheaves, should solve the battle between the two.
T Sep65 it probably won’t but at least it will give everyone some unbiased number to go by!
@@AppalachianMountainRiders true true, are you going with the Weller flash also? Exhaust? Or just sheave and stock ecu?

Blue Beast, Looking forward to you testing

How do you compare it to the pioneer 1000-5 and teryx 4
Yes please comment cuz I would like to know I bought the Pioneer 1000-5 based on your past videos
If you haven't gotten the dual exhaust go with it!!!
Yea pioneer 500 mpg is my?.
Cual es la velocidad maxima y de crucero en el volverine x4 para poder usarlo en carretera o autopista saludos desde Chile
La velocidad maxima es 52 mph. Puede usarlo para 45 mph sin el motor gritando.
Name it Logan.

Sure does, Thanks for your reply. X4 it is.
do it both ways so we all know the land level

Do you have the 2019 Wolverine?
