To answer your question at 11:14, I do feel as if it did get better, not just animation wise but story wise aswell. In my opinion, I think it's a good starter anime for anyone due to the fact the world building and animation from season 1 is all good :).
Absolutely watch this anime. Probably my favorite for the story, graphics and sound. As good as the op's are they dont do it justice. The story is far more involved than you can see from a cursory scan
awesome video. i loved watching sword art online. it became one of my favorite animes to watch. i 100% recommend watching it and posting it on UA-cam. and also im a new subscriber.
The SAO novels are some of my favorite reads ever. Very good characters and interactions, some of which the anime skips a lot, but otherwise the story really ties together with a hard theme of memories being what defines a person. Also, there are darker themes with lives at stake throughout the show, but the severity of what is at stake fluctuates (hehe) throughout the story, reaching a peak in War of Underworld and onward as more lives become at risk. Without spoilers, what starts as dometic terrorism evolves into an international issue that are main character is invested in due to personal ties relating to the first act of domestic terrorism.

Only season 1 part 2 is "bad" in the anime after that most viewers just keep on ditching it or nitpicking problems. It's became meme to hate on it so you won't find what the show is like by checking out opinions online since it's a meme now. In my opinion it's a great show and it connects everything really well by the end of it even the bad parts are need to understand some plot points. It's true they could done it better but it's waste of time shiting something that already happened.
@@BenBenReacts AniTubers, It's was Hip to hate to the Popular shows, if your wondering I'm Caribbean - SAO has alot of Japanese topics and themes that ignorant people hate it for most people that hate on it don't even know why they hate it they honestly couldn't tell you.
There are several more official openings that give more insight, and are very good listens. I reccomend the [SAO: Alicization Rising Steel/Unleash Blading] openings, as well as the [SAO: Variant Showdown] opening.

Sword art online was probably one of, if not the first anime i watched, and honestly, as much as i love it because of nostalgia (and imo the alicization arc being genuinely good too) i also hate it because of how bad it is in some aspects, but regardless of my personal opinions on its quality, i feel it's a must-watch anime because of how influential it is to anime in general
@@BenBenReacts I'd have to say Sword Art Online (at least the earlier arcs) really leaves a lot to be desired in the character department. Most, if not all of the side characters, end up being heavily one-dimensional, either due to not getting enough of the spotlight, little to no character development, or even just plain stupid for the sake of being stupid (a characteristic shared between an impressive amount of characters in the first season). And beyond that, the story is really poorly written in some aspects, though it's hard to get into that without entering spoiler territory. All I can say about it that you should've seen by now (since, if I remember correctly, you said you've watched the first two episodes in the Overlord opening reaction video) is that the writer doesn't really seem to understand how MMORPGs work in the first place? In the first episode, Kirito says something about having to hurry to a monster spawn area (I'm a bit foggy on the details, I haven't watched the beginning of the anime in a while) before other players kill all the monsters, and that's just... not a thing in games. If it had been previously mentioned that that was a feature of the game, it would've been really good world building and make the game even more unique than it already is, but the way it's just mentioned like it's a totally obvious and common thing in games reveals a fundamental lack of knowledge by the author about the main focus of the series. Other such cases happen later in the anime, but unlike this one, they should be noticeable even for those who don't play RPGs in general. And lastly, there is a freakish amount of (for a lack of a better term) ass pulls during the story. Things just happen for the sake of moving the story forward, even when they make no sense to happen at all. If you've read all of this, thank you for your time, and despite all I've said about it, I wholeheartedly hope you enjoy watching it as much as I did back when it first came out. No matter how many harsh words of criticism I may have for it, it has, and probably will always have, a special place in my heart.
Thanks for the valuable feedback! I'm genuinely curious as to the best way to avoid copyright. I've found the audio to be the most difficult piece to avoid rather than the video. Maybe I can attempt pausing in the next video as another alternative.
I agree. There is no build up and very little of the openings is actually used. better to keep the audio to a low quality or alter the image and mute the audio until certain parts but it has to be longer than this.
All the openings I accidentally left out are available and free to watch on my Patreon :)
