Better use of data is key to more effective government. Across government, teams are doing fascinating work with data. But those projects don’t get the attention they deserve. Data Bites aims to change that.
This event was the 47th in our series, where the speakers present their work in an exciting, quickfire format.
Each speaker had eight minutes, followed by eight minutes of questions from the audience.
    This month's speakers were:
Phillip Davies, Deputy Director of Business Surveys and Registers Transformation, Office for National Statistics, on ‘Business Data Collection: Digital by Default & A Future Vision
Gordon Guthrie, Research Fellow at Scottish Government under the First Minister's Digital Fellowship Programme, on constitutional oversight of data as the foundation for digital transformation
Adam Locker, Head of Data Architecture and Engineering at National Highways, on getting data things done
Siân Thomas, Chief Data Officer at the Department for Business and Trade, on agile governance of Large Language Models (LLMs)
The event was chaired by Gavin Freeguard, Associate at the Institute for Government.
