Nowhere Boy a chronicle of John Lennon's first years.

(O Garoto de Liverpool é um filme que retrata a infância e a adolescência de John Lennon)
I think every musician knows that feeling when you see someone as naturally gifted as George Harrison play in front of you, it's like they have symbiosis with their musical instrument.
Yes
People need to keep waching nowhere boy because it tells you amazing history about the most famous band in the world and how it started
THE GUITARIST KING that kid looked nothing like Paul it just bugs me
Caped Baldy you think thats bad, what about the kid that played George
Umm no I just need tbs to be a functional human
They could’ve found a better George
Don't forget that George was the LEAD guitarist in the Beatles... for a reason. And one of the only British inspirations (with Alexis Korner and John Mayall) for a young Englishman called Eric Clapton... GOD as far as the late 60's British blues explosion was concerned.
George saved the British Film industry through his company Hand Made Films financing several movies when Hollywood turned a blind eye - Life of Bryan and Mona Lisa to name two. He also created Live Aid before Sir Bob Geldoff (how did that ambulance chasing doofus become a knight of the realm and where did all the money go???) with the Concert for Bangladesh 10 years earlier (with Bob Dylan and Eric Clapton) - which he again financed and organised - the first major music based charity event.
Then formed a second super group - The Traveling Wilburys - with Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne and Jim Keltner recording a hit debut album in 7 days, in Bob's kitchen.
And his first debut album after the Beatles, a triple album, All Things Must Pass - outsold anything by John Lennon or Paul McCartney (solo), multi-platinum and still selling today 50 years later.
George - lets not forget, the other creative genius in the Beatles. RIP
For sure, George certainly had a creative genius all his own. "All Things Must Pass" is a great album. But I've got to know something... Could Paul play guitar here as well as the actor portraying him? When the Beatles were playing the Cavern Club In Liverpool?
Yep. Some of my favourite Lennon-McCartney sounds were written by George Harrison.
@@thomasromano9321 Yeah, he never played the bass, until hamburg; but could play the guitar and the piano pretty well
Hes humanitarian unbelieveble..
“Alright boys. Let’s go find ourselves a Ringo”
They should do a Biopic about the Beatles called "The Fab Four" reuniting Aaron Taylor-Johnson as John Lennon and Thomas Brodie-Sangster as Paul McCartney and Sam Bell as George Harrison as a follow on sequel of Nowhere Boy with new cast members Jed Elliott as Ringo Starr, Chelcee Grimes as Cilla Black, Rupert Grint as Brian Epstein, Katie Leung as Yoko Ono and Megan Barton-Hanson as Barbara Bach.
@Mr.Nate_YT Thanks.
Pete says traitors
❤️☮️✌️🕊️✌️
I’m here
Happy birthday Paul McCartney, you’re 80 and still alive doing shows!
This is a real event according to the band. What’s always struck me is how simple the riff George played was. It really demonstrates how basic the band still was at this point, and how far they came whilst together. They really were kids at this point.
I love George
2:21 He nails Lennon's sly look realizing how good George is!
YES. They might not have looked exactly like them but the actors really had the mannerisms down perfectly.
1:50 why does Johns voice kinda sound like Seamus from Harry Potter😂
nah
John Lennon is Harry Potter
i wanna see reinactment of Ringo's "audition" where the 3 looked at each other
Me:Mom can we get beatles?
Mom:We have beatles at home
The Beatles at home :
Pretty sweet guitar playing from Paul
They make Lennon the tough guy of the band, in a street fight, I’d put my money on Macca any day of the week.
Ur smoking brah
@@CODELIRIOUS-sy8xz ok..I’ll give John Friday night, swinging a brass lamp
Lmao what are you smoking, john was known to get into fights as a younger man, lennon was more of the fighter not pretty boy mccartney. Lennon beat the crap out of bob wooler, a disc jokey in pauls 21st birthday party, the beating was so bad they had to take the guy to hospital lol. Lennon was the rebel not paul
@@illmatic9096 towards their end, lennon was the skinny one and paul towered him by an inch. but yeah youre right, also back then john was 2-3 years older than george and paul so it makes sense to have him behave that way
@@illmatic9096 Lennon was a troublemaker with no parental figures and got into fights, got suspended and many more
its called acting. 🎹🎸🎸
1:42 JOE KEERY !😂
JOHN LENNON
Great film. If it us only half right itreally explains a lot about John lennon
It about John Lennon

Raunych
Which songs does John lennon sung at first!!???
That's alright mama - by Elvis Presley and Beatles performed
Which song did John Lennon sing at first?*
03:01 Cyn ? in centre
Anyone know the song at 1:17?
Yeah
ken hishizaw
where is ringo?
Ringo wasn't in the band during this period, he was the drummer for Rory Storm and the Hurricanes.
Ringo didn't join the group until 1962 after they auditioned with emi studios (Abbey Road). Ringo replaced Pete Best who had been in the group from 1960-1962 and first joined when they were going to Hamburg Germany. During the Quarrymen days to 1962 Ringo was a drummer for Rory Storm and the Hurricanes.
This movie looks inaccurate as all get out. They hardly ever had microphones during those days for starters.
L. Skynyrd photos suggest otherwise
why are there so many eejits posting on this thread? they didn't have microphones, of course they didn't, the massive halls didn't need amplification cos everyone was deathly quiet right? ..
fucking pleb...
They didn’t wear formal stuff until Brian Epstein got to them
Aaron Johnson looks more similar to Paul than John
That guy needs a sitar.
Paul: Show 'em George
George: BrAcKeTs
This reminds me of something
the marauders performing at the yule Ball
Lol
3:01 My mother's 80-year-old best friend, who was a secretary in Liverpool in the 1950s and 60s used to sneak off to a tavern for a drink at lunch and to watch the Beatles. She was one of those girls!
great story !
0:00 That’s All Right
1:11 Movin And Groovin
2:15 Raunchy
thanks
thank you
Thanks man
Thanks
Thanks man
George looks nothing like George lol
and neither does thomas look like paul
Anissa Knight none of them do
So?
What's this song george Harrison are playing 2:16 ??
It's about the portrayal jeez
1:51 ''He should be in bed'' I swear the god its John's voice.
tim kalič exactly wth
tim kalič no because he had to find the right accent! Even I can do teenage john lennon voice perfectly
tim kalič 2:08 what a song?
@@theguitaristking7023 It's called "Scouse". It's a Liverpool accent...
@@mayongprastyo327 The song is Raunchy by Duane Eddy.ua-cam.com/video/_Q9XVizZ2mU/v-deo.html
Um can we talk about how Thomas moves when he plays guitar??
+Melanie Daniels no
mom of the john lennon
Musicians always move around to get into the music LOL
Melanie Daniels Thomas the Tank Engine??
Yasss
2:46 the guitar started to moan
“I was really happy”
George Harrison
1:55 they really nailed George’s wry sense of humor
I wish Nowhere Boy gets a follow on sequel called "The Fab Four" where Aaron, Thomas and Sam reprised there roles as John, Paul and George for a sequel with Jed Elliot as Ringo Starr, Chelcee Grimes as Cilla Black, Rupert Grint as Brian Epstein, Katie Leung as Yoko Ono and Megan Barton-Hanson as Barbara Bach.
Jed does look like Ringo don’t he?
@@ohyeahyeah4267 Your right there, he does look like Ringo Starr.
What, no mention of Cynthia, John's first serious relationship who eventually became his wife?
2:10 Raunchy is the best song in the video
Annoying me they are wearing suits here. They didn't start wearing suit and tie until Brian came and managed them in The Cavern Club. They were still wearing Teddy Boy outfits here, in Hamburg and even early Cavern Club days.
Fiona has stuff here Actually if you look at early pictures of the quarry men, they are wearing a white suit like in the beginning of the clip. Overall this movie has outstanding props.
The Quarrymen were wearing suits like this at lots of their gigs, just look at early pics of them
In Hamburg they wearing like Teddy Boys until they returned to England for playing at The Cavern Club and met Brian Epstein... after was hired to manage them and changes the bands leather outfit for suits.
True but i’ve seen a few from this era of them wearing suits. They definitely will have done.
But it looks nice
Thomas' accent!!!
Nice attention to detail at 3:10 the bass player messed the timing of the ending up - can't remember who that was in real life but it weren't long before they had to part ways to make a better tighter band
Htheorphanarian there wasn’t a bass player, all 3 of them were playing guitar?
@@user-xw6uh3yp7g look behind Paul McCartney
Nowhere Boy should have a sequel called The Fab Four
Cast :
Aaron Taylor-Johnson as John Lennon
Thomas Brodie-Sangster as Paul McCartney
Sam Bell as George Harrison
Jed Elliott as Ringo Starr
Chelcee Grimes as Cilla Black
Rupert Grint as Brian Epstein
Katie Leung as Yoko Ono
Megan Barton-Hanson as Barbara Bach.
Otamabread u can see someone playing a washtub bass in the back
Honestly, Paul was good at guitar but he needed to be the bassist and it’s prophetic that he became one. A band is only as good as their bassist and they’re the foundation of the band and arguably the most important member.
i swear hes the perfect actor for john in that year
....people always say that John was the most silver tounged Beatle, but in reality George was the most sarcastic and in a dark manner. It even showed here. But John and George are so cool either way.
Why does John here looks like Peter Best than John himself?
Idk but John Lennon (photo with him and Cynthia) in 1959 kinda looked like Aaron
the only thing that pisses me off is actors look nothing like beatles visually like at least they should have found similar looking guys like Borhap cast is similar visually to Queen members otherwise everything is good here ❤
What do you mean, John's actor is literally spot on, if you look at pics from the era.
The problem is with George, he should be smaller than Paul atleast. He was around 14 during this time.
Nowhere Boy should have a sequel reuniting Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Thomas Brodie-Sangster and Sam Bell to reprise their original roles of John Lennon, Paul McCartney and George Harrison in Nowhere Boy and have Jed Elliott as Ringo Starr, Chelcee Grimes as Cilla Black, Rupert Grint as Brian Epstein, Katie Leung as Yoko Ono and Megan Barton-Hanson as Barbara Bach.
Wdym lol,
Nowhere boy actors have better acting and are more accurate
Wtf actually john told his mom he wanted to be a musician so his mom bought him a guitar
Alex Martinez did you watch the movie or not?
No his aunt bought him it she sold soon after it because she was disappointed so his mother bought it back
Nowhere Boy should have a sequel reuniting Aaron Taylor-Johnson as John Lennon, Thomas Brodie-Sangster as Paul McCartney and Sam Bell as George Harrison and will include new cast members with Jed Elliott as Ringo Starr, Chelcee Grimes as Cilla Black and Rupert Grint as Brian Epstein.
0:47 Pete and Mona Best?
good catch. I think so
Alot of ppl talk about thomas but we need to apreciate aaron more bruhh
thomas brodie-sangster😍😍😍😍😍😍❤❤❤❤❤❤
Paul mcharmley should call him jhon lemon
John was only one and a half years older than Paul. The age gap looks much bigger in this film
Lol
Yeah, that's cause they cast Thomas Sangster as Paul. The guy who can be:
13 but looks 8
18 but looks 15
and finally
23 but looks 16
I swear the poor guy has to be ID'd all the fricking time.
I think both actors were 20 when the film was recorded
george is spirit of this team
Where's that sitar, you can't have a rock song without a sitar
Wait why does John look so confused when Paul starts playing his bass?
i think because Julia was paying attention to Paul?? idk :3
Jesselyn Oyao please tell me you did not think that he was playing a bass
Jealousy? xd
Seth Abdou Paul did play bass
Because Paul was good and he was getting attention
ahhh theres 909 likes, someone help us get to one after 909
Is this 1957 or 1958? George was so young.
Makes me want to watch O Brother, Where Art Thou? again!
YEEESSSSSS I miss the Soggy Bottom Boys
omg newt get back to maze runner 😂😂
Amelia Turner Bruh, shut up
No cuz then he’d di-nvm...
@@vaudeville-villain yeah shut up
If Paul McCartney was impressive when he auditioned for John Lennon, George Harrison was the equivalent to Muhammad Ali, if Ali was a guitarist.
Lol
Is that a security camera at :33 ??? 😂😂
when they fight each other..paul gets chinned...but john had a shit up bringing
Does anyone know George's audition song?
It’s called Raunchy
George Harrison, my second favorite Beatles 💓💓💓
Why not the first? :)
All you need isn’t love
All they need is Lazarus (that was Ringos nickname)
Would have like to see more of Stewart and Pete and their relation to John and Paul.
What’s the title of songs the they were playing?
George looked so young in real life.
The performances featured here are better than the group would have been at that time. But it is after all a film. Good too.
Lmao they were nowhere near this good at this stage. Wtf. All documented accounts said they were really bad, and were still really bad by the time they got to Hamburg and started playing there. Like any other band started by teenagers who can't play yet. Who wrote this shite?
2:16
Does anyone know the song George starts playing?
Raunchy, by Bill Justis
I love this movie
Terrible Liverpudlian accent from Aaron Taylor Johnson. Could have worked a bit harder on it.
His voice is sound exactly like jhon 🙄🙄🙄🙄
George said he left his what at home ( I know it’s a slang for guitar) but what specifically did he say
I think he said he left his *top hat* at home. I could be wrong, but he used it as a metaphor cuz John asked if he was gonna show him some magic tricks.
I wish those guys were popular
They never ever get the reality of the real story in movies why don't they get the story right for once inspite it looks all good like Johnny cash story buddy holly story all wrong
Thomas Brodie-Sangster looks more like George than Paul
I swear there has to be another potterhead whose here after the fancasting of the Marauder or else imma go die
"Abracadabra ayy John" -George Harrison
John Lennon was a real person before James Potter became a character for the Harry Potter book written by J.K Rowling so here James Potter is inspired by John Lennon!
What song were they playing in that first clip I wanna learn it 😂
Maybe it's too late. But the song is "that's all right" by Elvis if I recall correctly
Wath is name this movie?
¿Does anybody know where can i get a class or a tablature off the "Raunchy's solo". I don't find it. ¿Did George Harrison invent it?.
Nicko Faust Lizana Thank's a lot.
Its by Duane Eddy
Lol they all look like a young colonel sanders
“Alright Lads, Let’s Find Pete Best”
OK Pete best
Back in the day imagine those string bends on black diamond strings ouch!
Worst casting director ever.
Great movie. Oedipus Complex scene aside.
What is song in minute 1:10 ?
Movin And Groovin
what song in 1:10
Go Green Bro movin and groovin by Duane Eddy
1.10💔
"..yaahh 'rin!.."
What, back the days used CCTV
I think that the guy at 2:45 could be Brian Epstein.
This video is “kickass”
Lol
Naw I’ve left me top hat at home
What song do they play after they meet george? Anyone pls? I like it sounds
Raunchy
