Hell yes Brother. This is so good for older glide heads who have bed knees or bad necks! I'm a powered hang glider pilot since 2004. This is a huge leap forward! With the advancements in electric motors and batteries. I cant wait to see what's next There are also many good gasoline engines from the ppc world. One of the coolest things I ever saw was a ppg trike converted with a Wills 2 place wing at the Salton Sea flyin on 2008. It was fabricated by the owner of trike buggy. Wills Wings, you need to capitalize on this asap!

That looks great!! One of the reasons I started with paragliding over hang gliders (other than the logistics of getting my aircraft to the launch) is the fact that I had a car accident years ago when someone rear ended me at a red light and laying in prone position with my head pulled upward really irritates my neck, something like this would make hang gliders more appealing to me.

Do you know you just invented hangliding for people without arms like me???

Guys, is this Marshall Peak near Crestline, Ca? When we flew back in the late 70s, we tried to avoid flying near there because it was always considered dead air and nicknamed “trash mountain“!

    NICE!
It really is super easy to fly. We had a lot of success surface towing too.

That looks like so much fun. I look forward to seeing how it handles with a stirrup attached to the feet.

Hola David. Please confirm if easy flyer is available for sale and if it can be used with a S3. I have a bad knee but a nice steep ramp to take off and an excellent landing field

Adding two electric or RC gas engines on the back upright tube will make a lightweight and easy setup powered hangglider trike which is much easier for one person flight compared to regular powered trikes.

I wonder the number of HPs needed for that to happen.

Aviator168 RC engine 170cc*2 already proved to be successful in ultralight and hangglider.Just search "twin engine ultralight/hangglider"

I'd look into an engine option, something light like the para-motor guys use, for self launch capability. Not all of us are blessed by mountains.

@@Aviator168 That is a pretty simple thing to figure out analytically. Google "airplane power required equation"

what about towing it? scooter tow, Payout winch, Dragonfly towing, or running a 3000 foot line out and towing it that way? that is what I am looking at... Say I wanted to tow it like listed above. Have you all tested this yet? its a nice glider and idea but I like to tow, how would you hook it up to a tow line ? maybe like a gliding plane? how do you move the front wheel?

It's one thing to make something look easy . Should still keep safety in mind a lax attitude will get someone hurt .
That's not good ..... Air Currents need respect .

Where does your reserve bridle connect?

    • @designbydave

      To the carabiner

    • @Les__Mack
      @Les__Mack 11 місяців тому

@@designbydave I have a similar setup. I have a nano-trike with a North Wing Horizon which is a soaring wing. It has a 185cc engine (Moster). I have a hang block instead of a carabiner, but can definitely connect there. My only concern is how would I end up hanging when I land. Is this a standard location for the reserve attachment on hang gliders?
