As a rider unlikely to win much I'm chasing points and usually back of the grid. I am adopting a chopper technique, going through gaps that momentarily open on the first few bends ( not every race affords this of course) . Starting further back often gives more thinking time and if a pile up happens further ahead then you can plot the route round it. Having said this ; I'd never block someone if they are faster than me in the race , 250 metres in its already thinning out so no need to be rude. If you races in a local league you quickly start to recognise the riders to follow ( big strong sprinters who clear a path.... ) and the ones to go round asap ( slow starters and pedal fluffers.. ) Good vid, I'll try some of the different start techs 🙂
Good video again! Would you maybe like to explain what types of training methods there are for cyclocross? Such as loops in the woods, interval (on a road bike or cyclocross bike?) and maybe endurance training?
Flat pedals anyone? I don't race but love them in traffic or for commuting because not only can I get a much faster and more confident to get the initiative against cars across intersections, but can bail out faster as well.
TCX is the best-looking cx bike, bar none. That geo is iconic.
Using stop lights as part of practice is a great tip! Thank you.

Great suggestion! I actually had a similar thought - something like “How to build your CX loop”
