You can also charge your solar generator with a small power bank too. Just get a usb 5v to 12v adapter cord on amazon for 8$. Takes a long time but it makes it where you can turn power from phone charger into usable AC 110V from generator.
The Inverter/Charger should hold charge at 14.4v (12v bank) or 28,8v (24v bank) for awhile and then lower to 13.6v or 27.2v for float. Lead Acid needs this higher voltage to charge. After stopping charge, allow batteries to rest for a while, then evaluate charge. 12.1v or 24.2v is 50% Full is approx 12.7v or 25.4v. Looks like a good Inverter/charger there.
i seriously watched this video because i am going to do the same thing. to have my batteries charged when there is no sun. this is a very helpful and useful video. but please. the next time you upload useful videos, get straight to the point and dont talk about non relevant stuff. i know your personal stuff matters, but it does not apply to us. change title to "simple shed set up" or "simple insulation and heater set up" or "bee hive preparation for winter" super helpful video. get straight to the point drop the non sense.
I'm curious since going from DC to AC to DC is gonna lose power can I just rip off the inverter on a predator and plug the DC straight into a mppt or just straight into the battery. I have a 12v 500ah rv battery and I wanna charge it on a predator 1400 the most efficient way possible.
I have a similar question. I was considering, in theory, of connecting a 120vac powered car battery smart charger to the alternator to charge a 12vdc battery that way. Simply substituting the generator in palce of a 120vac wall outlet. I have the generator and battery charger but haven't had the need to try and see if it woild work. In theory, it should work. Don't use the 12vdc output of the generator - it's not regulated and you can overcharge the battery.
Going back to a previous comment on another video... Is your battery bank going below 50% depth of discharge? I wanted to say your lead acid battery bank needed to get 100% charged from your gas powered generator.
Possible reasons a generator won't start You forgot to unplug things before trying to start the generator. The air filter is clogged. The spark arrestor is clogged. The carburetor is gemmed up from gasoline. You don't have enough oil left in the generator. The generator needs a new properly Gap to spark plug. You need to change the oil in the generator. You'll need to take the generator someplace warm first.
My Champion broke as well. Damn near brand new, I used it for 2 months and it's broken. The mechanic said something in the engine. He also said Champion is KRAP!! Don't buy them!
17min talk about weather and goats and bees and broken generator and..... Then 45sec about charging batteries by a very noisy generator. Change the title and stop wasting people's time.
This video was far too long and didn’t adequately explain charge the solar battery Bank with the generator. Get to the point. Bees? Why? Insulation? Why? That’s not the title of the video.
Thus is most misleading video I ever comes across lol I am more interested in seeing how you charge your batteries using a generator as your title stated now am watching bee's and stuff 😂😂😂😂
where did the cable from the gas generator plug to the solar system? Straight to batteries? To the inverter? Solar PV cables to battery?
Us looking at the battery: 👁 👄 👁
Battery looking at us: 😐

Ethanol is why it won’t start
If you use ethanol free it won’t destroy the carburetor

@Dennis Jemison uh huh.
@@AlexM-ds3jj yeah I agree. I still need to know how to do it
There’s no video showing how to do it 😢 all videos i saw is people talking another things
Ty

What kind of inverter charger are you using?!

Wtf im trying to plug a generator to charge my batteries? What inverter or switch do i need wtf is this vid

Great video
How do you vent the carbon monoxide from the propane heater so it doesn't kill Amy in her sleep?

Don't give a darn about the bees
So do all inverters act as a charger for the batteries?
No, the one I picked just happened to do that.
What's the Name and model #, thanks.
Couldn't you just take Amy home when it gets cold and let her sleep on the sofa?
:P
Title should Read,
Concern for Amy's warmth.
47° is cold???
Come on Guy.
lol it's Florida, what do you expect???
Get. To. The. Point
This video should only take 5 minutes max. Too much blah blah blah. Not enough hard information
I literally learned nothing about how to charge batteries. This video sucks.
Haha wtf does bee gotta do with charging your batteries
Wasted time...
