I've been playing chess for 45 years. Back in the days of chess books, I read a story where a greandmaster asked Capablanca to evalutate a position, using a real chess board and pieces. Capablanca simply picked up the pieces and put them where they should be. He did not move them move by move, he literally picked them up and put them in the places where they belonged. This is how Magnus evaluates. Quite a difference from Nakamura's analysis, for example (and I seriously respect Nakamura), where you might see something like (from a random position), "If Nxf6, Bxf6; Bc4,Qb6; Re1, Nf8; a4,a5; Bf4, Rad8; d4 etc. etc. etc. Magnus explains the concepts in broad strategic language, discusses which pieces are good or bad, where the play generally should be, etc. etc. Really helpful and refreshing to hear this type of insight.
I want Double Fischer Random Chess!!! Pieces are set up according to Chess960 rules, however unlike Fischer Random Chess, black and white have different starting positions. It has 921,600 (960*960) possible starting positions.
That may be so, but if Fabi wins I think people will accept it, especially if he gets closer to Magnus in rating, being 2800+ at the moment and with a higher 12 month performance rating. Besides, people consider Karpov a champion, even though he didn’t win it from Fischer.

Cool thinking about how differently their brains process information.

The Tournament was so hype!
So refreshing to see new styles and active thinking instead of boring pattern recognition.
Magnus & Fabi are the two best players in the world today.
You don't play hikaru
In classical, yes
OTB in classical only...
@@Tuna714 In bullet, yes.

Magnus seems more energetic here than he does at traditional chess tournaments
This is much much more interesting for him.
Magnus game reviews are my FAVORITE

MAGNUS INCREDIBLE CHAMPION. I don't understand his genius, wishing I was 2200 instead of 1200.
Good analysis!
Yes, my man has a lot of experience ❤️
Why would you show levons Face for 7 minutes instead if Magnus and Huschenbeth analysing?!
A Note for the Cutter: It makes no sense to show Aronian if Carlsen plays against Caruana.
MAGNUS IS THE GOAT 🗣️ 🗣️ 🗣️ 🔥 🔥 🔥
Magnus has a good balance between being confident and being humble
“I felt pretty shitty and un-energetic from the morning today”
