If you mean you can still hear the lyrics faintly in the video, that's because most official "instrumental", or "karaoke" versions of songs simply are another recording of the song with the specific overlapping channel, which contains the singing, drastically lowered in volume. Musicians usually Master their recordings in layers, for all kinds of purposes. To make the vocal-less version, they just turn down the volume on all the tracks that contain the vocals. On the other hand, if you're playing the song in your mind, in-sync to the actual music being played, your brain is simply filling in what it knows is there, the lyrics.
