    A perfect demonstration on how to clean windows traditionally,perfect amount of solution not slopping all over the place like when using a terrible Moreman squeegee.

    depends on how dirty the windows are but i actually always like to use the walnut pad and give the windows a good extra scrub before using the squeegee. i do believe the glas feels way more smooth and just looks aftet all cleaner and more shiny! also a good window soap will help you to achieve that. apart from that i exactly do it your way! Anyways good job and greetings from Frankfurt

    I have the moermon squeegee which is a guaranteed zero detailing and cause it's a combination tool it tends to make job quicker, i think ppl underestimate window cleaning they think it's easy but it can be frustrating at times especially when your rubber doesn't work properly even when you change it ,some rubber needs time to wear in and that's what can be frustrating.

    • @davejenkins669
      @davejenkins669 2 роки тому

      If you get the tiniest movement in your rubber or if you get a little dig in it then it can be a complete pain.Youll always get that line on the glass and it can be very time consuming yes

    Thank you for this demonstration. Can you tell me why the soap is not rinsed off, please. I've just started using a traditional window cleaner who appears to use loads of soap, he then uses the blade and finally a cloth but I've discovered when the windows are dry they feel sticky.

    • @dacomponents
      @dacomponents  3 роки тому +1

      Hi maybe it’s down to the amount of soap used only use a small amount.

      Another reason which may contribute to the stickiness, it was a very hot day and the soap may have just had time to dry a little before squeegeed off.

    You can finish off to the side if the situation calls for it. That’s fine, there are no hard & fast rules, experience tells you what to do.
    Have been window cleaning for more years than i’de like to admit, but, there are dozens of different techniques to use,depending on the job involved.
    The best way to learn is by making mistakes.

      Did a job this afternoon.
      The customer a fireman , cancelled six years ago when he had the property extended by 50%.
      Asked me to restart today.
      Property screwed.
      Poled upstairs windows with Ubik on brush at 50•. Downstairs by hand,
      Total 30 mins.
      All frames cleaned too.
      Next time will take 20 mins equil to £30 p/hr.
      Fine with that ?
      See a lot of window cleaners bragging on getting huge amounts of money per hour.
      They obviously live in a world we would like to live in!

      @@vonovine Some people just exaggerate (= dishonest) as a window cleaner for thirty years most of time most earn around £30 a hour sometimes more and occasionally less and it averages out around £30/£35 The are some jobs were I can earn £60 a hour but not very often (unfortunately) it's all about averages the days where window cleaning is impossible due to the weather.
