The infamous '5-gun' desolation marines made to look marvelous. Richard is a miracle worker ;)
Omg yes! Finally, Dark Angels. I've been waiting for this, and I am so excited. Thank you!
I'll probably do another Dark Angel with some different paints and a decal :D
@@demonrich if you could do all three DA wings in perpetration for the Lions return I’m sure he’d be grateful
As an Ork kollector, this would make for a nice recruit for the medium dakka range. Great paintjob as always.
This sculpt reminds me of when I try to bring in the groceries. "No... No I've got it all... Get the door?"
Fantastic and fascinating video as always Richard! So much useful information to absorb.
Stunning as always! Looks amazing.
There is divided opinion on the design of the model, but your paint application is so gritty and realistic that it totally distracts you from that oversized rocket launcher. Nice work
This is absolutely incredible and I might have to give this style a shot. It’s so appealing to look at.
stunning, one of the best and most straightforward styles I've seen
amazing work with DA.
This took you a bit over an hour?
Bloody hell, you're a good painter.
I was thinking probably 5-10hrs for all that stippling
I love watching your videos so thank you for the upload!! As much as I love watching your ‘grimdark’ style of painting spacemarines, it always have intrigued me how you would paint a more crisp style, or a more traditional style of painting a space marine. (By traditional I probably mean a more ‘eavy metal style of painting) If you ever have some spare time, I would love to see one of your tutorials on that kind of look because I am learning so much from your videos. Please keep up the good work! A lot of love from Korea ❤
Such an awesome paint job Richard, thank you for sharing. My angels green looks vastly different from yours straight out the bottle, has anyone else had this issue with them?
T-shirt cannon!
This is incredible.
Best green armour I've seen
“So matt you could wipe your feet on them” had me in stitches 😂
Fantastic.
Amazing quality as always. I really enjoy both the video style and the paint method. I would love to see this style on a aeldari guardian and a Falcon btw.
Amazing video as always. As for the matt for pro painting aspect of the new game colour, you are not wrong. Angel Giraldez who was their main consultant for new the paint line has mentioned he wanted a matt finish. They should have launched it as a new paint line, but I can also understand that is not in Vallejo's benefit.
This guy (the DA) is really serious about Nerf.
Another fantastic video! I really enjoy seeing you work.
It would be interesting to see how you paint skin (a bare head, for example) when the armour is in the "scratchy" style, would you do it smooth or stippled?
Probably smooth. It would make a nice contrast! I nearly did a bare head for this one but it would have taken a bit longer and I was short on time.
Any plan to try something for the Salamanders? Would love to see your take on them!
I also like the contrast medium method, although it has ruined my pot - which is now a purple colour :D
Is there any guides you have, painting Dark Angels using citadel paints? On your site or patron? Thank you
Love it but 50/50 render of what for first highlight? The straight green and what, the second highlight light or white?
Dakka Marines! I'd love to kitbash these guys into Ork Nobz wearing Mega-Armour made to look like Power Armour
@@demonrich An entire Squad of Orks who wanna be like Space Marines so they made their gear look like theirs
@@PelinalDidNothingWrongI'm sure there are orks like that in the lore, or at least there used to be!
Always admire people who have developed their own style. Whenever I see your models I says to myself, "dick painted that."
When would you recommend applying transfers to the model? Before the wash, likely?
Yes, before the wash so it blends the transfer in with the model and stops it looking brand new.
big gun boi
Warmest Grimdark. S+
Would a couple drops of gloss medium make those paints less matte?
Hey @demonrich would a approach with red paints create a similar effect?
What brush size is used for the scratches? I can’t get it to look that clean, any tips?
could you do this for Ultramarines?
They are game colour with new ingredients upgraded formula
how do you take care of your brushes? and how often do you swap to a new one?
I take care of them very poorly! I mix paint with them and am pretty brutal. They hold up ok though! It really depends on the size of the brush and what I'm doing with it. Larger brushes last a long time but I rub the sharp tip off of thin brushes quite quickly, however I then use them for different jobs so they still have a long life.
I am wondering what a color for gaming is? :-D Citadel? Army Painter?
Hi Richard, is it best to sign up to your website or your patreon?
Website is great, same content as patreon but easier to navigate and find stuff
white kind of brush is he using?
This is the nicest take Ive seen of these aweful models
I’m glad they gutted these models rules wise, I never want to see them let alone have to get them myself. Great paint job tho
Im sorry but.. Goddamn
So matte you can wipe your feet on 😂
Love the paintjob, hate the model
Very nice painting as always, shame about the model. Can't polish a turd I suppose.
Shit's good.
Pls paint some nids
Where is the nerf gun paint scheme on that stupid gun?
It's incredible that a model can look so terrible with such a great paint job. Only GW could make a model so poorly designed.
Man, something about this really captures the foresty-vibe that nobody else captures with the sons of Caliban. Absolutely incredible paintwork.
