This video is phenomenal... a little fast, but very nice. I found this video because I didn't understand the orbitals when it comes to bonds. I'm a visual person, so..... off to your next vid. Thanks bro
It actually seemed simple enough when put into the regular chemistry terms (level, sublevel, and orbitals). Before that though, the terms were pretty daunting to be introduced without major context. Thanks for the video Ben.
Please suppose that two electrons are moving in a single orbit, and suppose that the de Broglie wave of one electron shifts +λ/2 in coordinate and the de Broglie wave of another electron shifts -λ/2 in coordinate. The two waves have the shift of exactly one wavelength, which leads to a constructive interference of the wave, making it possible for the two particles to move in the same orbit. [the 4th quantum number] I'm sorry that I'm not good at English.
Quantum-mechanical analysis of the MO method and VB method from the position of PQS. vixra.org/pdf/1704.0068v1.pdf The MO method and the VB method are analyzed using the principle of quantum superposition (PQS) and the method of describing a quantum system consisting of several parts. It is shown that the main assumption of the molecular orbitals method (namely, that the molecular orbital can be represented like a linear combination of overlapping atomic orbitals) enters into an insurmountable contradiction with the principle of quantum superposition. It is also shown that the description of a quantum system consisting of several parts (adopted in quantum mechanics) actually prohibits ascribe in VB method to members of equation corresponding canonical structures. Using the quantum superposition principle, the MO method and the VB method were analyzed and it is shown that they are in contradiction with quantum mechanics. Also, using the quantum-mechanical description of a system consisting of several parts, it is shown that the attribution of canonical structures to the members of the equation is incorrect. Therefore, both the MO method and the VB method did not describe molecules with chemical bonds but actually, a lot of atoms (of which the described molecules consisted). That is, in the quantum chemical calculations, the chemical bond was "lost". Therefore, in order to "introduce" a chemical bond into calculations and avoid conflict with quantum mechanics, it is suggested to postulate the existence of MO as a new fundamental quality that describes a specific chemical bond and is not derived from simpler structural elements. Why I came to know just now. I would have been the best if I have known sooner or the day this was posted. Anyway hope this will keep me on to the peak. Thankyou very much 🙋🙌🙌🙋🙋🙋🙋🙋👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👍👍👍👍👍👍
Your videos are amazing. I am watching every single one and they are my life line right now but my test on thermochemistry, quantum theory and chemical periodicity is tomorrow at 9am. I need the next few videos :-/
Thanks. This video has clarified orbitals and quantum numbers to me. Hope you keep them coming
Great job Ben.Waiting for more.
Great videos! Hope you keep them coming.
shawn heidrich I surely will. Next one coming very soon!
Thanks again for teaching me new stuff about quantum physics :)
Your videos and explanation for subjects are priceless.
They helped me out.
Thank you.
You're very welcome! Thank you so much for your kind words 😃
one, two, three, four, five, sixtynine...
Lmao
THIS IS SO HELPFUL THANK YOU SO MUCH
can the energy of an element be calculated based on its electron configuration?
Thanks for helping me study for the MCAT!
My pleasure! Thanks so much for watching and commenting...and good luck on the MCAT! 😀
Excellently clear.
Thanks 🙂

Thank u bro this helped me alot
Nice job with the video. Thanks.
Dude, you're the smartest guy on UA-cam.
best explanation ever🙋🙋👌👌
supper video bro i like it i understood the concept well
Awesome! I'm super glad it was helpful!
Good 👍👍😊
Hi, your videos are very much helping on my test. I hope these videos reach more audience

Kenny Duran Yeah I totally understand. Thanks for the feedback!
Why does the angular quantum number is 0,1 when the principal is 2? Shouldn't it just be 1?

Or a suggestion on where to find some?
Once mathmatics is fixed... this will pair perfectly with relitivity and world religions.
You actually make chemistry sound like it's not that bad.....weird
lets just choose a random number. how about 69. the smirk gave it away. haha
Amazing job - be a teacher.
💀
I sorry, but temporarily my system is out of order. I thought I can just watch you speak, but it is not so. I will be back.
How much do you earn by this videos
Very little. Not nearly enough to quit my day job, that's for sure.
