Reads like a man who has some familiarity with a religion but isn't enthralled with it, questioning its truth and values. Then he's forced into a situation where he's confronted with existence and his own mortality, something that he initially avoids but after time becomes more comfortable with. He is freed from this situation and is now back in his familiar setting, but when now when he reads his Holy book, it actually seems to hold something for him.
Not fully appreciating what you have until it's too late to appreciate it anymore. For me: He got dragged away from his lone but steady life and the teachings of the bible after marrying Lucy Skidmore (anger, hate, hardships?). After her death he found right back to his old life and the bible, realizing that the mysterious, joyful and also frightening journey they had together was a unique experience he won't ever be able to relive again. What is left is his bible, all the memories and hopes that come with it. To the hateful people who are only out for mindless entertainment (no offense, I like the Dick Figures as well) don't hate on something you don't understand. Every genre to its own. Widen your horizon.
The animator had the train and more specifically the train tracks represent life. And even though he was off the train he was still going through life slower with his lover. But after she has left he's back to the way he was going though life endlessly but now regretting no treating her right. I don't like country music but this guy is quite deep and good job animator.
This is miles above the last one posted. Animation was fantastic and the narrative was pretty damn moving. I donno what the music was doing though; it just kinda sounded like noise I drowned out.

Music comes from the soul not by three guys sitting in the room thinking about sex and wright a song about it that's not actual music music should make you feel emotions not want to make you dance everytime you hear it I understand some music makes you feel those feeling while making you pumped to dance but all you feel is to dance it isn't music

Daniel Sebahar No man, I'm saying that this wasn't some shoddy song that was just thrown together with no meaning. The vocals are passionate, the guitar work is impressive, and the overall feel of the song synchronizes perfectly with the animation. It's actually a pretty advanced piece of work.
Didn't expect this on Mondo, but I'm glad I watched it. It was infinitely better than "Tarzan" was a few days back....
