Hi Chester, great video 👌👌so much going on and many observations I have noticed not only in this video, but most of your other video's, the " oversize load "' signs 😒what a pain they must be to tie on each time ??, simpler would be just the words " over size '' four letters on each side of your bumper and the rear on flip down signs like we have if you are doing a lot of long stems ..... the big observation is the set back front axle and sloping hood..... interesting that between Canada, Australia and New Zealand, the setup is extremely popular, you have the T800 and now the T880 and we have the T659 ( still to be updated to what ever is next, KW factory in Melbourne is too small and can't keep up with demand, 2 year wait list for some models ) my boss has 5 or 6 new T659s for towing double road train side tippers and will probably get more at some stage, and in NZ, T659s seem to be king of the logs, set up as twin steer rigids with 4 or 5 axle trailers. the setback axle gives for better turning and the sloping hood the visibility, and personally I think they are more comfortable than the T909... and that green tri drive W900 with the stems was great looking ride and can't forget that you added a couple of Mack's for me 🥰🥰 bet that CL 700 has some miles on the clock ?? and still in good nick.... anyway, enough for today, thanks again for the video and hope you are keeping well.. cheers Wilson P.S . sorry for the long reply... No I'm not, love trucks as much as you 🤣🤣 👍👍
Hello. Thanks for the question. Yes, for the most part logging occurs throughout the entire year In Canada. (The majority of logging companies are in British Columbia, Ontario and Quebec.). Winter is the prime season for harvesting timber. Each spring some regions reduce logging to a trickle or entirely shut down for a few months due to winter/spring thaw. Logging endeavours still carry out In different aspects throughout spring breakup. Thank you for watching the video. Much appreciated👍😎
Hey, Ray, thanks for connecting. Summer 2024 certainly was a dry season. We enjoyed some spring rain, however intense 37-40°C heat of July and August totally depleted what little moisture there was in the forest floor. Around 85% of the video footage was filmed this past summer. Thank goodness wildfire season passed without doing much damage around the North Okanagan region. I wasn't looking forward to relocating had warnings gone up.. Wildfire however did devastate some regions of northern British Columbia. The entire province desperately needs a wet 2024/2025 winter. so far Fall has been much cooler and wetter than last season.. There's 30 cm of snow already at the higher peaks surrounding Vernon. A cold winter will help kill the pine beetle infestation which is destroying British Columbia's softwood resource. As much as I dislike winter I can put up with a few cold months, as long as the cold temperatures do their thing. Our local ski resort needs a profitable season. Last winter was not the best. Not much new with me, Ray. just trying to remain healthy. Hope to post more videos out soon. Stay safe out there. We'll chat next video. I always appreciate your kind words and viewership. Chester.👍😎
Thank for the info in your reply Chester and for what it is worth I think its the same weather wise for most parts of the world. I look forward to your next video when it come, am glad your keeping well at this time. Cheers Ray.
