Ok, the wath arrived! Put a new battery in and it works(old battery was put in upside down...no wondern it didnt worked :)))) ) Everything works except the calculator touch pad. TV remote ect all is working but not the calculator. I had this before on another casio calculator watch, where ive replaced the battery and some kind of "black rubber/plastic" piece flew out of the watch housing. The same one you have in your video that is sticking to the piezzo speaker on the backplate. What is that exactly? I didnt knewed how or where to place it and from there on the touch pad never responded anymore. Here on tis TV watch i hadnt seen this "black piece"! Should there be one? Or what else could be the problem, that the touch pad dont respond? Ive did the AC reset succesfully and the watch showed @. Thanks
It is likely that they stick to a common design, but there may be differences. Basically you just have break the electrical circuit that is running through the piezo speaker.
I tested buzzer input by multimeter and that was a pulse current How can i change that to dc current ? Can i remove a specific piece of watch , to away from pulse current ? (sorry for my english)
Unless you or someone you bought the watch from has modified it, that is not likely the issue. Most likely its in the settings menu and you will have to refer to the owners manual. If you are certain that the sound is turned on, you could then try investigating the electrical connections to the piezo speaker like in the video.
Yes it would. It It kills all sound output from the watch (not always a bad thing). Fancier watches have the ability to turn off the beeping in the settings without disabling the alarm option. Cheaper watches, like the one in the video, do not have that option so you will have to disable all sound if you want the beeping to go away.
The cover makes an electrical connection between the speaker and the rest of the watch. If you remove the cover or add some tape over it you break the circuit and turn the sound off. If you remove the tape and reattach the cover it connects again and the sound works again like normal. If it is somewhere in between it may be making partial contact. Just add some tape over the speaker to ensure it does not make any contact.
I have a Casio W700 watch from 1981. The alarm doesnt beep when I set the alarm or the beep alarm, it doesnt beep every 30 minutes. Is there a way to fix the alarm?
If I was troubleshooting your watch I would put it in alarm mode then measure the voltage with a multimeter set to ac voltage. You should see something around 2 volts. If it doesn't have voltage it may be a low battery or circuit board issue that is beyond most people's ability to fix. If it has voltage then make sure the contacts are clean like the spring(s) and contact surfaces. If it still doesn't work it may be a failed pizeo speaker. Easiest way to get a compatible one would be to buy a new low-cost Casio watch and swap the speakers.
Just to mention this renders your alarm and countdown-timer useless. Does it have an hourly beep that you cannot turn off otherwise? On the low-price Casio W-202 1AVEF you can turn "the bell" off/on.
Good to know! In my case I was using it for a professional test where I had to guarantee all operations were silent, so disabling the speaker worked best.
If you need to turn the sound back on you can just bend the spring back up so it touches again or remove the piece of tape you added. If you have to do it frequently you probably need to just find a watch that has the option built in.
Can any one tell me how to make a watch beep. I bought a new battery, I have a sping, I bought replacement piezo and...nothing.🤔😔 it's more than the watch is worth to send it to manufactures. Many thanks.
Most likely is the internal watch settings, but you probably checked that before buying parts. If it quit after opening to replace the battery there may have been something that went wrong with the connection to the piezo speaker when you put it back together (flipped back, etc). Beyond that you will need a meter for troubleshooting. How about a new approach; just sell it on ebay to someone that doesnt want the beeping noise and buy a new one ;-)
If your watch supports muting; that would be the best option. The casio watch I had, and lots of other low cost watches, do not have a mute option so you have to open them up to defeat the pizeo speaker physically.
Thankyou so much!! I have an exam tomorrow and was panicking about the beeping!!!
U r a star. A genius. God bless u. U made my life so easy. Thanks a million
Thank you so much! I have ap exam tomorrow and I was freaking out!!💕
Amazing. Well explained and made it look so easy. I will try it now.on Casio F91W for the exact same purpose.
I used the tape method on the inside of the back plate and it worked! Thanksss!
Thank you for this video. Your method worked with my Casio F-108 watch as well.
Dzięki, nie miałem dźwięki i właśnie ta mała blaszka była zagięta, podniosłem do góry żeby dotykała dekla zamykającego i dźwięk wrócił
Thank you very much sir I was afraid that my watch is not beeping and after watching your video I was very relaxed
this was very helpful! thanks a million
Thank you so much! you saved me money and time!
Thanks, this worked. There's an instructables page too that you can google.
very easy! There is no annoying sound anymore.. made it on my 3238 (f-201wa)
Thank you!
Man you're fucking awesome I have my SAT test on half an hour thanks a lot !! Grettings from Bolivia
CASİO F-91 Did the beep sound go away after battery replacement?
Literal life saver!

Very useful tips. Thanks a lot.
thank you so much!!!
Hi friend, you know that you can activate the countdown to this watch. regards
Put some tape and it stopped the buttons from beeping. Thanks!!
Easy fix to add tape to both springs on F91W!
Would this work with other low cost digital watches from Casio like the F-91W, Casio World Time or even a entry level G-Shock?
It is likely that they stick to a common design, but there may be differences. Basically you just have break the electrical circuit that is running through the piezo speaker.
How can i try this method
in case of f-201wa-1a model...
I can’t see anything to bend
Oh i find a way by myself !! Thanks anyway!!
Wow. That was easy! Thanks!!
Does the alarm still work? (If this watch has the alarm)
No. You are disconnecting the speaker. It will no longer make any noise.
I tested buzzer input by multimeter and that was a pulse current
How can i change that to dc current ?
Can i remove a specific piece of watch , to away from pulse current ?
(sorry for my english)
Not sure what you are attempting to do, but if you need to convert AC into DC you should use a bridge rectifier. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diode_bridge
I have a databank without sound, so a spring is missing?

@@EricNutsch where is the piezo located?
@@mexicanguy831 It is attached to the back cover plate. See video at 0:45. ua-cam.com/video/eAk8r4fu9y4/v-deo.html
this worked thank you so much

I got tips from this reviews !!! And comment! Thanks!
I open the cover and now sound beep is sooo quiet, what to do now?

El sonido no se oye Casio F91...como repararlo?
Thanks you sir
thanks mate!
I had the opposite problem, after changing battery it stopped beeping, turned out the cap was ubside down. Btw mine is not Casio.
why tho
because I cant have the stupid watch making noises during a exam?
@@pa5706 Tiny ass beep every 1 hour bother you that much? 😂
@@MrDaldagnuur if the watch beeps I get kicked out from the exam, its not that hard to understand
then how to sound back?

Just put the case upsidedown
How to break your Casio.
TonawandaBlue, yes it removes the sound from the watch. You can always just add a thin peice of tape over the piezo disk that is easily removed
Thanks so much but that casio is fake
