Another suggestion for young people - When your relatives tell you about their lives, write it down so you will always remember what they did, who they knew, what happened to them, their thoughts about certain events. If they don’t share their past experiences, ask them questions. I’ve been working on my family tree for over 30 years and I wish my grandparents and parents were still alive so I would know about their lives. My husband asked his dad questions before he died, and he told us amazing stories - about their first date, his dad running bootleg liquor, a car accident, etc. If they answer your questions now, your great grandchildren will love knowing about their ancestors.
