Note: To avoid cracks, while the concrete project is drying, be careful not to expose it to the sun. It is better to cover it with a cloth to slow down the drying.
This mushroom is the best one I’ve seen on UA-cam ! I’ve looked at so many diy mushrooms . Using the coffee filters was brilliant .

I'm sorry Alexis, the rotating display and lights didn't used in this project! I've just made the mistake to put the same tools list in almost all my videos. However, you can use a rotating display to show up your crafts details if you want to use them indoor.

For a mold release could you use a cooking spray instead of the vaseline?
I haven't used it before, but I don't find any problem to use it instead of the vaseline..
Did you use anything to seal it so the paint won't come off from the weather?

Love video. I am confused about the cement. Which I thought it had small rocks in cement. Is this cement or mortar mix that is used.
Concrete has rock's, mortor has sand and Portland cement, and cement is just Portland by itself.

Against the rain, you shouldn't choose the right color but the right varnish. Ask your local paint shop or hardware shop for a varnish UV protective and an outdoor use

Beth _21 Hi Beth. I just watched a show on HGTV today and they used suds from mixing dishwashing liquid and water to the cement to make bricks to build with. The mixture made the cement lighter but also stronger which I found fascinating. There is a ratio of suds that is appropriate for the mixture to be successful but I would imagine you could find this online someplace. They called it Air-Crete. I hope this helps. 👍🏼
