I passed my A1 licence on same bike at the age of 45 couple of days ago lol. The A category was too expensive for me to keep trying as i failed the first time. Money grabbing driving school failed me by not giving me proper lesson. Learned all by my self.
Self taught self educated man well played!!! I'm happy riding around on my baby 125 for now. Will save up the pennies and do my big license at some point 😁
Thank you for the comment. Always happy to share in the hopes it will help others with inspiration with their bikes or even help them in looking for parts and accessories for their bikes. Good luck with adding to yours in the future
Would you tell me if the gear change lever fits fully onto the gear shaft. On mine it only fits about half way. The shaft is not flush with the outside of the lever. There is a groove in the shaft where the bolt securing the lever fits so I don't think the lever will push on any further. Just seems a bit odd to me. Too far from a dealer to look. Thanks in anticipation. John.
Mine is fitted completely on the shaft with a small overhang so there is a small edge of shaft you can see on the edge. It sounds like yours might not be seated correctly and needs looking at
Hi, I am looking to fit the same panniers. I can't figure out how to take the rear indicators off the bike, it's not a normal nut holding them on it looks like a plastic clip. I just can't figure out how to unfasten the indicator stalks.
Oh now i have to remind myself. Yes it took a while to figure out. If i remember correctly there was a push fit element from the inside of the frame you had to remove first before being able to take the indicator out. Also another note when cutting the wires to relocate, give yourself a generous amount of wire attached to the indicator itself. Makes it easier.
Well.. I've got a question. How did you mount those panniers i mean, i tried to did that on my own.. but i stopped cuz, i didnt want to cut off turn signals. Do you have any video, that might actually help me a bit? And what about warranty after that.
Yes unfortunately because of the fitting of these there is no way to do it without cutting of the indicator wiring. Because I bought my bike as "second hand" ex display model from a dealer, even though it was a new zero miles bike it came with no warranty. But I did however wait until the bike was a year old before I did the pannier work to wait for the standard 1 year manufacture warranty to expire. Sadly no video of the install while I was doing it, but I do have some photos I'd be happy to share 😁
@@hondarider1982 well i bought it october last year, first registration was in february 2023, that means one year warranty expired, probably, and am a second owner. Well how can i contact you then?
@@Donotexcept hmmmm hadnt thought of that and youtube wont let me type an email address here. I’ll get the photos together into a short video later and upload for you to see :)
@@hondarider1982 Did you actually find those photos? :) ? Well, btw. I had a talk with a honda employee, he said that any changes in a motorcycle especially cutting wires is forbidden if i want to keep my warranty.
Mine has a problem with the steering bearings, mechanic reccomends to change them for roller bearings instead of the oem ball bearings. U ever had a problem with them?
@riskysway2542 hi, not had an issue so far, however I'm only a weekend fair weather rider and I haven't even hit 1k miles on the bike yet 🤭🤭🤭 I will keep an eye on it though thanks for rhe heads up
Finaly. The first time i see roughly what i have in mind for next year to build one of this up as an light Travel Bike. What is the fuel consumption under 2 l/100 km or slightly higher?
Glad i could help out with a walk around view. Ive never really fiven the mpg much thought as i ride to enjoy but the bike itself has done just shy of 400 miles and ive only filled it up once. Full tank at 13 miles when bike was new. Almost empty and filled up again on last ride. So better part of 350 miles to a tank 😁
Calculated down to the fumes below 2l on 100 km impressiv for an bike before it´s first service and with all that stuff 👍. And i´m pretty sure it wasn´t on fumes.
Fuel consumption and mileage on these is incredible. A bike that can easily cruise comfortably at 60mph with a lot of storage options and a fuel tank that will cover half the country. Hardly surprising people choose these as a bike to tour on or do long rides
Lovely looking bike. Do you ever get mistaken for a police bike? I used to. Ive just bought the older model in black, only because I prefer the old needle clocks instead of digital and the older model is a little quicker on acceleration. I live in maidenhead and will have to have a trot out to Henley on a sunny day as soon as spring arrives 👍
Why thank you. Ive never been mistaken for a police bike before but ive often looked it and thought what it would look like to be made up as a police bike. Lights and sirens. It would be the only cb125f police bike around. Henley is a gorgeous place to ride to so if you get the chance i would strongly recommend a ride there
@hondarider1982 just wear the police clothing, and trust me, you'll have nobody overtake or pull out on you ever again, lol. I did a sinnis 125 terrain in emergency vehicle colour's and rode it whilst wearing the police clothing, and it was the best fun ever. I sold it cause someone offered me a price i couldn't refuse. As long as you don't have police on it, no flashing blue lights, or a siren, its completely legal too. Great fun!
@@zen.life66 thats actually quite the idea, ive seen people riding round with the “polite” clothing before and you always think its police before you look twice. Hmm maybe i should look into it. The Sinnis Terrain was actually the bike i was looking into when i spotted this at a local dealer as a brand new bike. But because it was pre registered it was a deal i couldnt refuse and havent regretted a single second
@hondarider1982 haha. Oh yes, you've made the better choice. The sinnis is really heavy and slow, and since selling mine, I've heard they aren't reliable, and any customer service from sinnis is basically non-existent. These hondas are tried and tested and are bulletproof compared to all these new Japanese bikes being made cheaply. Anyway, all the best, and I hope you have many many safe and fun years of riding 👍
Hi, I am thinking of getting one of these but got a little question for your advice....do you think it would be feasible to tour Europe on one of these? thanks.
I see absolutely no reason why you couldn’t tour on one of these. This bike can comfortable sit at 60mph for some time without any struggles. It carries the top box and panniers without any handling issues. Mpg is incredible. Comfortable upright riding position. Longest ride ive had is around 3 hours straight and felt like id been on it for 5 minutes so yes i see no reason why you couldn’t 😁
@@hondarider1982 The only reason against is the luggage System. The E22 are only rated for 5 kilo max each and the only official hard side cases available for the CB125f. You would not believe how difficult it is to try and find let alone purchase the top box, racks and panniers, you have kindly listed beneath your video, here in Australia. Did you fit this luggage system yourself?
As soon as i had the bike i was on the internet researching constantly until i got all the right items for the set up. Yes fitted and installed everything myself. All instructions that come with the kits are easy and straight forward to follow. I’d say give yourself a day to do it as sometimes it can get a little fiddly but it is definitely well worth it.
